The last strategy RPG I played before beginning Fire Emblem 2 was Shining Force: Sword of Hadja for the Game Gear.
Glad to know they haven't changed much in the past ten years. |

It plays very much like the original Fire Emblem with a couple of added features and game elements. I'm not saying that I don't like it. I'm actually it enjoying it very much as the plot is very engaging. My only disappointment is that Sain isn't in it. I simply adore that spunky ladies man! XD Sigh... Sain... You will find the girls of your dreams someday... _________________ "Waka... Wakka... Wark..." ~Pacman on Dr. Mario's Pills.

Sain was alright, but Hector's got to be one of the best-written characters in videogames. Not much in Sacred Stones matches either of them, so far (about 1/3 through). I guess this might be a better place for a newbie to start, but I think the first one's a more pure experience. |

i like eirika quite a bit in the latest game. the villian is pleasingly much more complex than seven's NERGAL BAD! there's one particular scene in chapter 17 that is memorable to me.
hector's dying scene - which i think was his first appearance in the series - prefigured fairly well his character in seven. _________________
