winker you were probably a sincere and idealistic poster from the older internets, perhaps somewhat Guardian-esque, until someone broke your heart and told you they didn't want to hear what you had to say. |

Hey guys I just finished DIEBuster and it was fucking great, I loved the romance of it and the glorious visuals and the connections to the original GunBuster. 9/10, only took off one point for the Double Inazumi Kick silly stuff, which wasn't quite as out-of-place as in the original. Very Evangelion at times as well.
I have just made some coffee and will now start in on Kenomozume or whatever it's called these days. I'm worried, because I have all 13 episodes ready to go, but I want to play videogames in a few hours and I don't know if I'll be able to stop watching. |

Winker, I had planned to log onto the Axe yesterday evening to inform you that I snatched reprint copies of LC and Another Setting for $9 US each at a Going-Out-Of-Business liquidation of a Tower Records, but returned to the internet to find Athens had fallen to the Spartans. _________________

I was attributing the allusion to icyclam's elevation to Dictator more than the reactionary channer bumrush; that was more like the Ostrogoths coming in to strip the last meat off Rome's bones after Alaric came and went. _________________

I knew, winker. But it still stung. Which was a bit silly of me, I suppose.
In any case, I watched Dr. No yesterday. It was absolutely fantastic! I mean, for what it was. He had a woman named Honey Ryder in it! There was implied rape twice, one in talk of the past, and once in the present! Can you imagine something like that in the more modern Bond movies? Because I can't! Bond played a secretary in the pay of the Dr. in a way that was, aside from the fact that it wasn't a very nice thing to do and so on, delicious. He also shoots a guy who has tried to kill him twice before in the gut, though he is unarmed. And then when he has falled limp and dead to the ground, once again in the back. Simply to make sure. He quite obviously took more than a bit of pleasure in it. He had edge, and he had smarts. It was grand. |

I drank Rum & Cokes, which I felt was a slightly classier way to accentuate just how awesome these old movies are. Are you going to, or have you already, watched Casino Royale? I think I'll wait for the DVD rip to surface, which might take a while, but I'm currently low on expendable funds, so it's just going to have to be that way.
By the way, I found an album that maybe you'd like the other day. It was on vinculum gate's life journal, so I can't take credit for it. He describes it as Evil Jazz, which is a pretty apt summary of what it is. It's pretty much made by the Destroy 2 guy, if you know what that is. If you don't, I could hook a brutha up. |

Daniel Craig you are a good actor. |
So it's out in Europe now? Damn, that just increases the temptation to either spend money that I don't have, or download some terrible snuck-in-into-the-cinema camera footage of it. Neither of which I actually want. |

Destroy 2 or Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Quintet? In both cases, I'm afraid that I don't do lossless, as I don't own the real CDs. But if you'd like I could hook you up with what I have, if you think it sufficient. |

I don't really care much for Manic Street Preachers, except the song Small Black Flowers That Grow in the Sky, and that mostly for the image its title conjures. |

I think that tomorrow would be a better day for playing Gears, if that's alright with you. |
Don't sweat it man I got pretty far in F.E.A.R. today. Tomorrow will be busy as I have to go back to work and we are getting a new cooking range installed in the evening. I'm sure there will be other opportunities for me to be Dom-Curious. |

Because if so, I'd really appreciate a copy, even if it's hundreds and hundreds of MB in size. There are a lot of things from the boards I want to save, and I didn't have the foresight to go after them when I had the chance.
I think I'm still kind of in shock. Like some people here, I think I kind of had an emotional investment in the forums, for better or worse. |
Well, I ran some mad downloading for a while before it... most of it is probably people's profiles and whatnot, so uuh... well, I still need to write some scripts to filter through it and put it in a useable form. We'll see what we ended up with. Hopefully some of it is good!
Other than that, Brandon claimed that they supposedly have backups so uuh... in theory, whatever you're missing should still exist on a SQL database somewhere or another. |

I'm back with more updates. I got home and it still doesn't work. I called Xbox customer support and the guy on the other line confirmed with me that, yes, my system didn't work. He gave me a number to track my issues and told me that they'd send me a new system, then he suddenly is like, "what the fuck!" Apparently the power went out as he was making arrangements to send me a new system. He told me to call back and give someone else the number he gave me so that that other person could arrange to send a system out. I called back immediately and was told that the wait was unexpectedly long (maybe due to power outage?) I decided I'm just going to call back tomorrow and straighten stuff out.
I've been playing Zelda all night and loving it, so I figure Rainbow Six can wait. Figuring out how to beat the boss of the second dungeon is a religious experience. This game is incredible.

Or he does, and he's just a complete douchebag troll.
Hey, Firefox is telling me "douchebag" isn't a word. Also, it's getting pissy when I don't capitalize "Firefox." Or when I use the word "pissy." I think I need to teach it its place. |

Do not think that icyclam is not an accurate representation of the greek people. |
I've had classes with a Greek professor on ancient Greek culture, and something he has harped on repeatedly is that Greeks, ancient and modern, are complete sociopaths. |
