It isn't dead, so much as it's under new management. Time will tell though how all that's going to work out. |

See here.
I work right next to a Fallout fan every day. We both stumbled upon the Space Kat at the same time on the same day. It's become a bit of an in-joke between us at work. I realize that doesn't have much to do with my avatar change.
In any event, I'm sure John Vernon (the dead actor) will return at some point. |

So umm... I can't seem to get on the insert credit forums? I guess this was the planned meeting place? Did they just go kerput? Or maybe I got banned? I've never been banned from a forum before so I don't know what would happen!
Well... that was interesting.
Hi guys!
Maybe I'll post some serious videogame discussion here some time. This seems like a nice crowd! |

In the Ban List Thread, he banned like five people all at once and announced that they called in the goonsquad from NeoGAF. But, like, I don't know if we can believe him. |

Yeah, seriously.
I would say about the point where I was put on the ban list, things were at the point where icy had basically fucked himself over, and then as soon as he added internisus that pretty much sent the forum into a whirl of madness and chaos until uuh...
...yeah...
...so how about those forum backups?
Anyways though, I was reading the videogame forum here just now, and it's fresh and friendly perspective gave me some warm fuzzies and almost makes me feel like posting about videogames again, and maybe being more open with people than I am on the IC forums!
Though... I'm going to hold off for a few days. It probably only feels so warm and fuzzy because of the hellstorm we were just in. |

the very very funny thing is that I posted that "I am glad to not be almost banned" at the exact moment that I was made almost banned. I didn't know until someone PMed me right after.
I'm kind of exhausted. I've been chuckling morbidly for like three hours now. |

Yeah, I don't know that I have much to talk about. I was going to post something about Final Fantasy 12, but then I got kind of self-conscious because I didn't want to be talking about Final Fantasy so goddamn much on there. It would give people the wrong idea. I would write about my real actual life, I mean, there are totally things I could say, but after my insane angstsplosion over the summer I have grown simultaneously embarassed and wary.
Yeah, guardian, I don't know why the hell you were put on the banned list. there was nothing really insulting about the poll you posted. At worst it was redundant, but still nothing to get all U 1 CLICK AWAY FROM BE BAN about. _________________

Well you should write an exclusive expose about this dramatic event perhaps.
I was serious with that poll thread! It was a question posed to benefit Brandon, actually! I made it in the same spirit with which you wondered aloud how many people thought it was really fucked up to forcibly attempt to cull the collective personality of a discussion forum. |
Hey guys you notice how my poll topic asking whether people thought icy should be admin or not never got locked while yours did? <^_^> |

Officially, they're whatever the size mine are right now. Which I guess is 80X80. Don't know about the sig, because I don't have one. You could probably got a bit bigger than that though, and not get your head bitten off or anything. Just don't go crazy.

Nah, my guess is the last backup will be restored, the old admins/mods will be begged back, an apology will be issued, and ummm... things will be awkward for a couple weeks... and maybe some new changes will slowly happen in a much better way, but IC will return to a sense of normalcy within a month or so. |

Really. Wow. |
Oh, I think Brandon is very much a normal, nice, level-headed, and capable guy in a lot of ways. I just think that his ability to understand social situations is a little bit lacking -- something I decided when I realized that he had some strange and bizarre opposite to linking an RSS feed on the main page. |

I use to know a way to set your printer as Adobe Acrobat and then print the page to acrobat and you could save the thread as a PDF... but I don't remember how anymore. _________________ “The average man has a secret desire to be a swaggering, drunken, fighting, raping swashbuckler.”

In firefox you can just go File >> Save Page As... and it will just copy everything down for you.
I think you could probably also use recursive "wget"... I should see if that'll work, actually. |
