Pop quiz! Whoever gets it right poses the next question. Use Google if you must, but you're only cheating yourself!

Q1:)

In which game can one see the following message, and where?

BENIMARU ITOH
EAR FORCE

Fallout would be:

CDEDBD Ducks?
MR Not Ducks.
OSMR. CDEDBD Wings?
YIB. MR Ducks!

I'll give hint:

Hobo Dogs

Lester Moore: shot 6 times with a .44, no less, no more

Harry the Bunny Master

Are you guys just posting random stuff?

Or have you just played so many games that the memories run together?

More hint:

I know the answer because I looked it up, since I knew it was from a game I hadn't played anyway. Here's a hint: I had never fucking heard of this game in my life

I suspected as much what the answer is. I actually never played it, though I've been meaning to. Keep hearing great things about it.

HINT: It's kinda related to Fallout.

Sinistar was the first survival horror game! Possibly!

WHAT WAS THE FIRST GAME TO USE CD-ROM TECHNOLOGY?

Dragon's Lair?

Or else F-15 Strike Eagle. Not the text based one. Or one of the other ones.

I mean the F15 strike eagle that had you bombing Murmansk and also desert places and stuff.

Mid/late '80s.

Or did you mean console system?

edit: the above games may have been LaserDisc, not CD-Rom.

yeah, I'm not talking about laser disk. I'm pretty sure dragons lair was the first there?

Also, first computer CD-ROM game since the first console one came out afterwards (and it was actually the two games that launched with the turbo duo cd)

Also, WRONG! The first CD-ROM game came out quite earlier. DO WE NEED HINTS?

What game system had the first CD-Rom?

That's a place to start.

But I went from Colecovision with Atari adapter to C64 to PC.

So I have no clue.

I ignored consoles and missed so much magic.

The TurboGrafx-16 was the first video game console in North America to have a CD-ROM peripheral (following the PC-Engine CD-ROM add-on in Japan, although the FM Towns Marty was the first console to have a built-in CD-ROM).

But that doesn't matter because I'm talking about a PC game.

That line of thinking is a trick!

King's Quest V saw a PC CD-ROM release several months before FM Towns Marty was released!

You're gonna have to dig back further than that!

HINT: Some claim that the game I'm talking about is not a game since it doesn't have a set goal. Those people are daft!

If you are using DOSbox to get that message it's not doing its job right. There are two possible results and I'll accept either.

You know after answering Spaceship Warlock, I considered the Cosmic Osmo may have been before it. But I didn't realize that the Manhole CD-ROM predated that as well. I lose!

Also I don't know what the answer to this question is! I thought they would all be gaming related, what next, a question quizzing our knowlodge on the mating habits of squirrels??

Oh man, I totally knew the Wasteland question.

You guys just had to wait until I was on the road to ask something about one of my favourite Interplay games, didn't you.

xyzzy... this isn't the picture of Bill Gates' horse, is it? Can't remember if that was DOS or MSWord.

This is gaming related. Xyzzy is the cheat code for the Zork games (I think), Actually I will just wikipedia it for you (not cheating, the question assumes familiarity with xyzzy).

wikipedia wrote:
Xyzzy is a magic word from the Colossal Cave Adventure computer game.

By typing "xyzzy" at the appropriate time, the player could move instantly between two otherwise distant points. Hundreds of later interactive fiction games contain responses to the command "xyzzy" as a tribute to Colossal Cave Adventure.[1] More recent games have shown a trend of increasingly more elaborate and in-jokey responses.

It was like the first videogame in-joke, I guess! People had raging boners for xyzzy.
