i am trying to remember the title of a 90's two-player arcade driving sim in which player one drove the car while player two had guns mounted on the dashboard.
i vaguely remember a miami vice theme.
does this ring any bells for you? |

Yeah, see. I'm convinced I remember a driving/shooting game like this, too -- where the second player has a gun and the first player steers. No one seems to know what I'm talking about, though. _________________

Oh. Yes. I know there are others sort of like this, though. Even 2D ones. Maybe home games? Anyone think of others with a similar format, where one player drives and the other shoots? _________________

Off hand I know of Halo (all of them) doing this. _________________ “The average man has a secret desire to be a swaggering, drunken, fighting, raping swashbuckler.”

Yeah, Toups said that also. Not really what I'm thinking about. I mean a confined role. Like, driving is all one player does, shooting is all the other player does, and that's the whole theme of the game.
I'm sure I remember something with a jeep -- something kind of like Jackal, except both players are in control of one vehicle. _________________

I believe that the Starsky and Hutch videogame for the PS2/Xbox used this when you played multiplayer. |

That's interesting. And appropriate.
Yeah, I've got it in my head that there are several examples. It's just, I'm coming up dry. _________________

I never played it, but the Japanese-developed-launch-ish-title Maximum Chase for Xbox had driving and drive+shoot stages. However, I don't think it had two-player drive-and-shoot. _________________ -Slonie
