The man who programmed this stopwatch utility in his spare time wrote:
TimeLeft is a clock, tray clock, countdown, reminder, alarm clock, stopwatch, timer, desktop sticker and time synchronization utility. TimeLeft is attractive, easy to use, and highly configurable - it's a really beautiful software.

One more beautiful TimeLeft feature is a customizable countdown, which lives on your desktop and shows the amount of time left to (or passed after) the specified event. Countdown may be easily used in a businesslike way, to remind you of forthcoming events (meetings etc.) or job to be done. But even if you are not a business type of person, you can still use TimeLeft to just add some extra excitement to your life watching how the time left to some eagerly awaited event (be it a cruise or your friend's visit) is getting less and less.

The person who wrote this was presumably the person who wrote the program, and as such is now my hero. I can't imagine the type of person who would have excitement added to their life by a little timer on their desktop which will tell them when their friend is coming round but I do know I want to buy them a big bowl of ice cream.

The description 'Watching seconds ticking away makes some glad event so much closer' breaks my heart and makes me think of a little hedgehog wandering through the fog to meet his friend to eat jam and bread and count the stars.

Harveyjames,

maybe I'm overworked but that copy and your reaction made me tear up.
