this is an info-soliciting thread.
i'm trying to get hold of a genesis back-up device, mainly to play battle mania 2. china coach released a number of models, but the last (smart bros) is apparently the only non-shoddy one - most others no longer function.
but i'm far from super-knowledgable in this area, and i'm hoping some of you are. any input, or suggestions of where i could find a smart bros device, would be appreciated! _________________

Man... I miss the days when video game piracy still involved hardware.
Off topic, but my friend had the same basic thing for his N64, but it used 100MB Zip discs. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Had a cool LCD interface and everything. |

Good ol' Super Magic Drive, how it provided my friends and I with hours of entertainment in the dying days of the Megadrive. _________________

Battle Mania 2...is that the same as what got translated by a romhacker as "Trouble Shooter Vintage"? If it is, then, uh, I guess you should know that there's an English translation out there, but for the life of me I'm not sure where I got it from--I think it might have even been found in a zip along with a Gundam SNES game translation, of all things. |

well, that's fine and dandy - and likely, since the original was localized as "trouble shooters" - but doesn't help me play it on my genny. i shall look into this thing of which you speak, however! _________________
