I just read this entire thing from start to finish. I want to post in it about some stuff

then again, maybe not. there's a lot to it and I sometimes need inspiration to write a novel.

So I'm basically in the same boat as Daphny, which is funny 'cause I dated her for a little while too. I can't say how glad I am that we're now and still friends though.

I always want to contribute to this thread but my stories aren't very interesting. I've only had two ex-girlfriends and I'm still friends with both of them. I feel like they're not really dramatic enough or that I'll somehow be shitting on the heads of the people who've actually poured their hearts out here, and I don't want to be that guy.

had a talk with my fiancee today about going through with our gender transitions.

she has it a lot harder; the medical community hasn't really made much progress with ftm reassignment and the result would essentially make her impotent and (probably) miserable.

so she's always had mixed feelings about whether she should be happy for me that i can successfully become a woman, or bitterly jealous since she might be 60 by the time ftm gender reassignment becomes plausible, when i could easily become a (barren) woman in three years.

i'm really glad we finally did talk about it, since i always got the feeling she likes me better as a boy and that was really upsetting me. now i know why i got that vibe, and i feel a lot better.

i'm really torn about going through with gender reassignment myself, for three major reasons: 1) i'm a hairy, stocky fellow halfway into my twenties. even with the physiological changes estrogen would induce, there's no guarantee i'd end up as a convincing woman without years of corset training and some cosmetic surgery. thankfully, i'm not very tall.
2) this is really dumb but i want to bear my own young. if we can grow functional penes on a female mouse's back, why can't i have functioning ovaries grown on mine. and then, y'know, moved because i don't want mine on my back.
3) no guarantee i won't end up with an Angry Inch for inability to afford top-notch treatment. i know things have come a long way in the past twenty (hell, ten -- or five) years, but i feel it's still a legitimate concern.
but hey, it could be worse. my best option could be getting a cadaver penis transplanted over my vag... which is horrible!

also, i recently met my boss's daughter. she reminds me strikingly of two of my exes: the bosnian girl and the boy who killed himself. i can't really bear to speak to her beyond simple greetings and pleasantries related to the job.

(i dearly hope this isn't me holding the relationship thread down and shooting it in the face)
