Literally right this second I am in the car on my way to Disney World. Who's been there and lived to tell the tale? Anything I should avoid? Anything I should be sure not to miss?

One of the things we're doing is going to see Haley Joel Osment recite The Night Before Christmas. If there's a Q&A session I'm going to ask him about Kingdom Hearts 2!

I don't know about World. I was at -land twice last month, and I enjoyed the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion. I don't know if that's at World, though.

Just that concept makes me want to punch somebody.

I'd like to go to Disneyland in the 1960's.

But really. I might consider going sometime if not for the fact that a tenth of the world's population would certainly show up there the same day I did. And I'm not a crowd person.

Umm, Epcot Center sucked when I was a kid, MGM was good, and Magic Kingdom has all sorts of good things for adults. Hope that helps! Be sure to drink a lot of puke after the rides!

if you were into doing exotic drugs - staying up late at night, running a mini lab and tapping phikal for all it's worth, etc - this would actually make some sense.

that said: what???

Is it Wes? Do you want to punch Wes?

I haven't been to Disney World since I was...too small to remember. That's it, that's the story!

I remember the back to the future ride being kind of cool.

That was like ten years ago.

Well, I'm here. And I'm waiting in line. Ain't that pretty standard.

Hey dhex, Haley Joel Osment is the kid from 6th sense. He did the voice of the main character in Kingdom Hearts, and he's reading me The Night Before Christmas.

That was also like a different park.

Whatever, I mean, Universal Studios and Disneyworld are basically the same park.

Except for that I'm not at Universal, and I'd have to pay hella loot to go on the Back to the Future ride!

I had an okay time at land when I was short. Having seen Captain EO there in all its 3D glory at the tender age of eight was pretty future-fabulous in 1989, but I remember enjoying nothing more than the lightrifle shooting gallery. Pirates of the Caribbean was pretty cool, too... makes me wonder if they've gone and fucked it up with movie nonsense now. Even back then, though, nothing was quite as big or impressive as the parking lots.

Oh! I remembered one other thing. If you go to epcot center let me know if the still have the turkey leg vendors there. They just have a cart labled Turkey Legs or something. I remembered them being excellent.

Pirates of the Caribbean is will undergo arenovation at Disneyland and Walkt Disney World. Changes will include remastering the sound system and adding higher-tech effects, but the most obvious additions will be retcons involving the plots of the movies.

Turkey legs should still be available from cart vendors, but I can only find the Disneyland locations. Apparently, The Lunching Pad is one place to find them in Walt Disney World.
