Because I'm trapped in Osaka airport! Turns out my korean bankcard won't work in japan, so I can't buy the ticket for my connecting flight to australia. But my British ticket worked fine in korea!?!?!
Yes, I have tried everything. I'm such a dumbass. If you can help, or you just want to make fun of me, my email is jamesharvey@catjams.com
I won't have the time to keep checking this thread, so if you can help, please use email.
Failing this I will walk to a farm and ask them to let me work on it, I think.
...also, I won't be able to check this thread much as I'm on the information desk's computer, so please email me any advice you have. As I've said to everywhere else, sorry to clog up your forum with this, but I'm pretty desperate! |

I've got nothing for you man, sorry. Best of luck though, I have no idea what could be of help.

So what you're trying to say is you've been Osaka-banned? _________________

Guys this internet cafe cubicle is better than my whole fucking house
I'm not liking how my Japan trip so far has been limited to the inside of one airport. Will tomorrow be an improvement? That depends on whether I decide I want to carry on sponging off do-gooders or do the decent thing and reschedule my flight back home. |

Real shame about your card, Jimjams. Wish I could do anything to help, except I think the only person I used to know living in Japan killed herself.
Maybe Cycle could swoop in last-minute and rescue you from bondage!!
alternatively you could just live in the airport and become the tom hanks of the new world order _________________

Managed to reschedule my flight home to monday, manged to scrape together enough money and contacts to facilitate a KERAYZEE WEEKEND. Or at least, I will go and see Ponyo a bunch of times. So, should be ok. I'll let you know how it goes! |

From crisis to ok in one day.
Good job man, good job.
Is there a Western Union or equiv. available in Osaka Airport?
edit:
I checked, and so did you.

I don't really understand. Why didn't you buy your ticket to Australia in advance? I've never heard of buying an airplane ticket after making your connecting flight.
But try to have fun in Japan. I don't know Osaka, but it's close to the greatest place in Japan (Kyoto). |

For some gay-ass reason you can’t buy Jetstar tickets from Korea, unless you have a credit card, which I don't.
Guys they are up to Street Fighter IV over here! Seriously! They're like two street fighters ahead! And I saw a giant robot crab up the side of a building! |

Japan is a cash based economy. You can only use your credit card at big name places (department stores, upper level restaurants, chain stores like uniqlo, etc.), and cash cards . . . well they haven't caught on too much over here yet. Not strange to be carrying around $2000 in your wallet over here. Just don't set it down and leave it somewhere. |

There is only one western union in Japan and it's in tokyo, so it wouldn't have helped
I'm in Tokyo now, though! Shibuya, in fact! I just saw the first level from Jet Set Radio in REAL LIFE. |

Now I'm back in Osaka. It's 8am. I've got like Y500 to last me until I get my plane in 24 hours. The smart thing to do would be to go to the airport and wait it out, I guess. But I burn for adventure! |

I hope that 500 yen is after your train ticket TO Kansai airport, because that costs about 1000 yen from Tennouji station, let alone Osaka station or wherever you'll be leaving from. |
