announcing gamma 256!

so me and the rest of kokoromi are putting together a 2nd gamma event this year.
if you're not familiar with the gamma concept, think of it as a sort of curated art show/dance party/game jam thing.
it is NOT a competition.

you have until November 1st to make a game running on windows XP and revolving around this year's theme.

this year's theme: resolution.
low resolution, weird resolution.

basicly, this year its about low-res game with weird non-standart aspect ratios.
we wants games that themselves play with resolutions.
from extreme 8x8 lowres, to something like a 256x4 game.

for more details and to check out the official rules and guidelines, go to www.kokoromi.org

this thread on TIGF has some other details and links to footage from last year's event.

if you have any questions, please email me at fish AT kokoromi dot org

This thread gave me a brilliant idea for a game, but... I don't have the slightest idea how to make it.

Honestly, for me, that's a terrible time frame to work in. Especially with having never made a game before. I'm very busy for the next 80 days, and on top of that I don't even know where I would start.
