That looks pretty great, actually! I'd snap that up if I had a windows machine.

I was not impressed.

the pacing is a bit jerky, and there are some arbitrary puzzle solutions (that guy just shows up at a previously uninteresting location when you're ready for him, why does a rabbi need to carry around a yiddish lexicon?), but there are some clever scenes.

i've been thinking of buying the new version too, but i havn't yet. whatever that tells you. (maybe that i'm cheap?)

I just found the story was pretty tame once you got into the meat of it, actually. The characters were unconvincing (The main one is potentially the only credible, solid one there) and the ending is laughably Hollywoodian in a petty manner.

I also can't say I find the message of the thing holds out, but I can't say more on that matter without spoiling it.

I think its a pretty neat game, and totally worth $5. Granted its not perfect, but for a one man effort, its damn tight, and the subject matter is at least different.

Also, I dig the whole "directory's commentary" which I know is not necessarily a new concept in gaming (sorry if its common knowledge, at least in these parts, but what was the first game to do it? I would have to imagine that its a fairly recent title), but its the best of its kind thus far, with Dave (Gilbert)'s head popping up, passing along explanations and anecdotes.

I know one of the Star Wars games on N64 had directors commentary (I think it was Battle for Naboo).
