Here's some stuff! But I'd say it's definately worth $20.
Unless you consider the fact that Disgaea 2 comes out next week and costs $50. If you didn't realize that or weren't planning on getting it, the $20 might go better toward that.

Digital Devil Saga was given the nick name Devil Tuna for something relating to the Japanese name. _________________ “The average man has a secret desire to be a swaggering, drunken, fighting, raping swashbuckler.”

"These are the realities of war"
I'm all for boys looking like girls, but Magna Carta is too much. I hate how every female character in that game has breasts the size of station wagons. All in all Magna Carta was a huge disappointment.
How is Stella Deus? I've seen that game for a long time and it looks fun. |

I have yet to try out S.D. thinking maybe this weekend I will give it a run.
Is Disgaea worth the 50 bucks? I mean, it's fucking fifty used! |

I don't see what's so great about Disgaea. I've played it, Phantom Brave and La Pucelle and of the three I like Phantom Brave the most. |

Disgaea is good if you really like SRPGs. You will do a lot of level grinding, but the story is very cute/funny/good. The character design is a little narrow, but it is all good character design. The main thing is how deep the tactics in the game go. Not number crunching, but the amount of options you have on what to do. The characters can get to disgustingly high levels so the game is nearly infinitly playable. Also, item worlds.
As far as the $50 thing, it's an Atlus game which means that it usually retains its MSRP in the used market. It even got two printings and still demands that price. If it ever does go down it will be in a few years if people start saying "Just get Disgaea 2, it's so-o much better!" Then demand will drop.
I don't know if it is worth the asking price, but I paid $40 shipped for it and played it for about 20 hours before I realised what the item worlds were... which I then stopped playing because of. Although the grinding was starting to get to me. _________________ “The average man has a secret desire to be a swaggering, drunken, fighting, raping swashbuckler.”

This is true, but it's also good if you really like Puzzle games. I play it almost entirely as a puzzle game, making a stack of 5 or 6 people on my first move and throwing them around the screen and using the geo panel system to kill everyone. Being able to pick up someone who has picked someone else up in order to create a huge stack of party members that can traverse the entire board is one of the best gameplay mechanisms the Strat RPG has ever seen.
