Have they come into their own these last few years? Do they now compose more than 10% of all gamers out there? I feel like their numbers are a little underexaggerated in both media and in surveys . . . and doesn't it seem like a lot of those video game magazines out there only cater to guy gamers? (Not TGQ of course, but TGQ is something different entirely right).
Is the general stereotype that girls are still restricted mainly to Rhythm, RPGs, and Puzzle games? How many advertisements in Game media do you see directed soley at women? Will there every be a magazine for the girl gamer out there?
Please tell me that there are actually a lot of girl gamers out there and not just men pretending to be women!!!!!
(OKay, I posted this thread cause I thought there was an idea or something for a future article about girl gamers but I couldn't find it anywhere).
I should try and google this data ... |

Without the topic of girl gamers, there wouldn't be the trinity of topics for places to regurgitate. Every 4 months we're treated to a new round of Game Journalism Sucks, Girl Gamers, or Violence in Games.

I'm afraid that not only are there no girl gamers, but the boy gamers you know are actually 43-year-old in chartered accountants pretending to be gamers. You're the only one who actually plays that shit. |

| It's sad, because all I play these days are Rhythm, RPG, Puzzle and Fighting games. Part of that has to do with not being very good at those other games, and the other part has to do with not getting into online/multiplayer much ever. |

DO they make games just for girls? (Women, not girls. I don't mean like My Little Pony games). For example, they made DoA Beach Volleyball for the guys ... has there been anything strictly for a girl audience made?

I've played a few of them myself. They aren't bad games. Syberia II tried hard to be bad though.
