Is the disc organized into some kind of coherent order? I may have listened to it in the wrong order or some shit. I guess I would give it another shot if I knew what I was doing. _________________ “The average man has a secret desire to be a swaggering, drunken, fighting, raping swashbuckler.”

I would like a copy of this as well! I found out about the ilovebees thing too late, and didn't have the time to get into it even though there were regularly phones near my college that went unanswered. _________________ resetbutton.net: videogames for unattractive people |

The disc is a copy of the final ILB files, which organises everything by week, so all you have to do is start at Week 1 and keep listening. Here is my custom package for it:
Whoever wants a copy should PM me their address if they haven't done so already.
So, Halo 3 conspiracy theory: a local Blockbuster just put up a sign this weekend: "Get Halo 3 FREE with the trade-in of 3 games!" (or something to that effect). Um... the whole September thing seems to be getting more and more realistic in my mind; I can't see why BB would bother a promotion like this for a game that would be shipping in, say, November.
Totally renting the local gigantic theatre to play four-player split-screen Halo 3 in HD on a 100-foot screen. |

May 16th beta! I'm pumped!
They also revealed the "secret" X button. It "deploys equipment." I guess it lets you drop a shield grenade (as seen in the video), a mine (lets you blow up a warthog that's barreling toward you), and possibly a jump pad (totally awesome). What they haven't said is how you cycle between this equipment, whether you'll be able to pick it up on the map,. or how you get it.
Have I mentioned I absolutely adore Halo's multiplayer despite not giving a crap about the single player game? I'm SOOOOO excited for the beta, and the only thing that could ruin that pumpness would be the lack of split screen play. Bungie don't let me down!
Oh yeah, here's a link to the video.

May 16? Hells yeah, I am totally ready for it. I've been playing quite a bit of Halo 2 multi lately over Live in preparation. If anyone wants to join in with me I'm known as Mr Mechanical. Drop me a line and we'll form a party sometime! _________________ Mr. Mechanical |

Ok Halo 2 Multi Peeps, when would be a good time? I'll be on in a little bit, so if anyone is interested we could throw a few impromptu games together. We can also plan something for the weekend if that would suit more people.
Man, May 16! I can't wait. I watched the Vid Doc yesterday and I am pretty excited. I love how much it reminds me of Halo 1 multi, at least as far as the map design goes. Those maps they showed off just look huge, and I can't wait to get my hands on the retooled assault rifle/battle rifle. Mid range combat for the freaking win! It's great timing too because my semester at school will be almost over with by then, so that means more free time to play Halo 3! _________________ Mr. Mechanical |

Sorry for dissing you last night Mr. Mech. I was about to play and my fiancee called me in to go over the reject houses we've been looking at. I was going to get back on later but I kinda forgot.

It's really nice to have Hang 'em High back, but I've got to get the hang of it. There are some crucial differences and I have a hard time telling which side of the map I'm on since it looks completely different. If anyone wants to play, my xbl name is dmauro so send me a friend request and I'll probably be on sporadically throughout the week to play Hang 'em High a little more. |

At home on my 360 or my US Xbox I can get on XBL with no problems, at work I've got a modded Japanese Xbox that I use to play system link and can't get online with. One of the other boxes at work is not modded and can get on XBL with no problems, but we use it primarily for system link, and another of the work systems is modded and we can't get on XBL.
So yeah, I play system link most of the time at work, but I am not averse to playing online at home!

Yes, I did, you bastards, but I was in the JAYPAN. I will get to this soon. Though be warned; you are probably going to get MP3s to download, instead of a disc. I don't have time to be sneaky and produce five copies of this thing at work when my bosses ain't lookin'.

Okay, people, the beta is less than a month away, and I've replenished my Gold account. I've got the new (old) Halo 2 maps, so let's get practicin'. I completely forget how the "couch" system works—i.e., how to keep friends with you as you jump from game to game online.
I know Mr. Mech's in, and so am I! I'm going to try to log into live tonight around 9 or 10 EST if anyone wants to play. Help me not suck at Halo. Currently my only goal when playing online is "Don't be last." I'm maintaining a healthy status quo of being third-last at worst. Woo! |

Lestrade, I won't be able to get on Live tonight until at least after 9:00 pm CST. How long were you planning on playing? I'll be able to put in an hour or two, but I have class in the morning so I don't want to stay up too late. Also, send me an invite or something because I haven't been able to find out what you gamertag is. _________________ Mr. Mechanical |

As Mr. Mech and I found out yesterday, party invitations don't seem to be working because of "network problems." Has anyone else experienced anything different?
Whoa, actually managed to tie for second place in a very fun and heated Lockdown match yesterday! My favourite new trick is being a bastard and sticking everyone within throwing distance, and then running away while the fireworks start! I am slowly getting better. But you know what? I freaking really wish the game would load one of the new maps already! Arrgh, I hate automatic matchmaking sometimes... |

I was on the receiving end of some pretty rough beatdowns. Seemed like people's skill levels were way above what their level should indicate. Or I might have just been sucking because it's been a while since I've played regularly.
The new maps are $4 right now, anyone know when they'll be free? _________________ Mr. Mechanical |

Dude, you weren't that bad! We wanted to do some sort of team game, but we really needed more people.
And the tea-bagging thing is just something that happens by instinct
Bring a headset next time and we can figure out something that will make everyone happy.

Dudes and dudettes. Have you seen the new Halo3.com site? It's freaking terrible. It's heart-achingly bad. What took them no doubt a considerable effort was all wasted on a godawful-looking, brand-destroying mess of a Flashtrosity. A sharp and beautiful HTML/CSS site could have been delivered in half the time and be much more useful, readable, and compelling. I could have done it, dear sirs and madams. I could have done it.
That being said, visit if you haven't been; choke through the poorly written story section (I mean seriously, the writing across the board is loathsome) and gleam what shiny nuggets you can. Such as... the Elites and humans have teamed up!
Whoa! I don't remember that during the non-ending of Halo 2, although I suppose that is a logical conclusion. The Arbiter and Master Chief are leading a new charge against the rest of the Covanent as generals of their respective races.
I find this... fucking exciting.
Is that why, in the trailer, Master Chief is surrounded by drop ships and Banshees, but doesn't seem terribly concerned? Because those are all being piloted by Earth's newest and most unlikely allies, the Elites?
So are they opening the Ark on purpose, perhaps to use whatever power is contained therein against the rest of the Covanent? It would make sense, since the Elites might actually have a clue what the artifact is and how to use it.
The game is afoot, my friends, the game is afoot! |

I'm starting to get psyched about this again since watching the 2007 E3 trailer. It sounds like there will not be online co-op though, which is a little sad since Gears of War showed me how much fun online co-op can be.
Also, for those interested in the storyline, there was a comic as part of the Halo 3 Iris ARG (halo3.com/comic) that more or less debunks the theory that humans descended from the forerunners, which is weird since just the first game alone all but directly confirms that humans are forerunners. |

Ahem:
Quote: | Bungie hasn't actually denied or ruled out online co-op in Halo 3. What the developers -- Frank O'Connor in particular -- did say is that they're still working on it. They're trying to surmount the technical challenges that are preventing co-op from being as polished as the rest of the game. They know people want it. They want to add it. But as of our interview with them, a month ago, it hadn't come together yet in a satisfactory manner. That doesn't mean it won't happen, and in fact they'd like to make it happen. But they won't include a half-baked implementation. |
One of these days, Jeremy Parish is going to realize the reason the Internet loves him is because he hates the Internet, and it will all go out the window. That hasn't happened yet, though, and so he remains entertainingly apoplectic. |

So.
Halo 3.
TONIGHT.
I will go at midnight to purchase my Halo 3—then I will come home and eat some moon cake for Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. And then I will play until my eyes bleed. And then go to work.
SO, SO excited. |

You know I SAY that I'm bypassing the whole midnight sale thing, but I'm starting to get antsy knowing that it will be out there...Now, whether any midnight sale opportunity exists without having previously pre-ordered or gotten in line hours early, I'm not sure.
