Yahoo deleted my mail account! Because I asked Yahoo answers if they could tell me a good way to kill somebody. IT WAS LEGITIMATE RESEARCH FOR SOMETHING I AM WRITING, PUSSIES
So about 8 years of precious correspondence is gone!
until I get my catjams address rerouted, send me condolences at jadthetaff57
it is a gmail address
If you can email me to tell me what my address is a reference to, I will be your best friend! wow!

It's a good way of quickly quickly gauging public opinion on trivial matters, usually. Like 'WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE LILY ALLEN' or something. Mainly I was asking it for a laugh. |

I've found it to be pretty handy. I was trying to find the best way to get paint off of new wood floors, and the suggestions of what to use by age of floor was just right. Most of the other sites I visited that focused on home renovations had a lot of information, but it took a while to comb through it all before finding an answer. I've also found good answers random tech questions there, regarding .dll files, drivers, and all sorts of stuff. _________________ Come to me, Mordel. We shall depart. |

Have you, uh, talked to any about this? Like, the possibility of explaining yourself and the remote chance your account is recoverable? |

No, but I looked around for people with the same problem and it seems like they're going through a lot of hassle to get their account back, ringing call centres and all this rhubarb, to what looks like no avail. I can do without that headache. Anyway, I got my catjams email address rerouted to my googlemail account, so all that's really changed is I can check my mail from the google front page now. I'm not bothered about reading all my old emails particularly. Still, F YAHOO |

|
|
That's a point, maybe I should have thrown the question open here, instead!
I asked Yahoo Answers the question because I'm writing a locked-room mystery, if you can believe that. I've come up with a premise for a comic strip that will lend itself superbly to the locked-room mystery format. I can sit the main characters in a room and have them chat to each other and words flow out like wine; characterization is no problem. Plot is easy, too. The actual mystery: that's the tricky part.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locked_room_mystery
A locked door mystery is basically a logic puzzle in a fictional context. Throughout the story the readers are given the apparatus with which to solve the puzzle, and at the end they find out if they were right. Me and my friend who I'm co-writing it with came up with a bunch of ideas last night! They were p-r-e-t-t-y stupid. You brainboxes might fare better. Even if I don't use anything you come up with, it might be a fun thing to throw around ideas for! Whatever you come up with can't be any dumber than our ideas.
Mine revolved around a dude with his head chopped off and burned. Everyone heard him call the butler to bring drinks at 7pm, and yet the only possible concievable window anyone had to kill him was at 6:59. How did it happen?
Ans: it is possible for human beings to survive and even talk for up to 10 seconds after decapitation. After the grim deed was done and the murderer had fled, the victim's head rolled into the fire and the rising hot air acted as a surrogate lung. The whole house heard him call for the butler because the chimney amplified his voice. Why did he use his dying breath to call the butler for drinks? Because he was an alcoholic. |

Man theres something called social conduct and I would say your crossing the line. But to ban you for it was a little extreme. Should have just given you a warning. |

I agree!
I think social conduct isn't really a helpful term, given the fluid nature of morality and etiquette, and the fact the question can be read by people of any culture who uses Yahoo Answers. Which country's standard of social conduct have I broken? Maybe they should ban everyone who mentions sex, because that's taboo in many cultures, too!
What it really means is I've crossed the line according to the societal and moral codes of the United States, where Yahoo is based. But I don't live in the fucking United States, and nor do 95% of the world's population. So I don't appreciate having my email account revoked according to the propaganda-skewed, puritanical and antiquated moral standards of a tiny global minority.
Admittedly, killing people is a pretty universal human taboo! Still, F YAHOO
ALSO DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR ANY LOCKED ROOM MYSTERIES |
