Seems like a neat place for a boring day at work, or if you just are not sure about a game. |

This site is awesome. Now I just need to figure out how to play it at work without looking like a slacker.

I played PC Genjin for the fist time on a friends TG16. I played it for the second time as a PS2 remake. I highly recommend the remake.
And... who cares? Reap the benifits now! |

You know. I looked at the screenshots, and I thought, "Wow, the NES version looks a lot better!"

Yeah, I've been frequenting this site for about a couple weeks now. If you register for their forums you can play the games in a larger screen, which is nice. |

This is pretty damned impressive. What a fantastic idea. Nintendo shouldn't sue these folks; they should be paying them to port this stuff over to cell phones and the like. I wonder if my wife's PDA supports Java? |

I doubt they can get sued.... Its not like they're providing the roms.
Its more like renting the game out... except without a fee.
If anything, you're right, Nintendo should pay them, what better way to test games?
Actually, all videogames should be like this.
Pop on to the website, play a potential future purchase for 5 minutes, then go out and buy it. |

of course they can be sued, under the grand and terrible category of "UNAUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTION." _________________

Would that law also cover selling such games (legitimate manufactured versions), without some kind of license/authorisation?
When I look at all these laws, that only create red tape logistical nightmares, I really do despair.

no, because you're transferring the copy itself. this is distributing multiple copies, without any physical ties.
it's pretty simple, really. imagine someone took all the TGQ stuff and put it up on a server without asking permission. and then renamed a bunch of the articles without attribution, etc. _________________

How were the games played? Like a normal emulator + keyboard? _________________

Unless of course your workplace has websense. How I'm able to even come here(and other gaming forums and slashdot for that matter), I haven't a clue. _________________ The Bitter Journals |
