I hit about 198 percent after 8 hours, I think.
You don't need to farm for that sword though - if you just get the shield rod and the Alucard Shield, the combination makes you literally invincible and able to kill baddies just by walking through them.
It's a pretty cheap way to win the game though. I think I could write rather a lot about Symphony, but I think I would annoy A LOT of the zealots. I liked it, but there's a lot of "but..."s. _________________ aerisdead |

But isn't that much later in the inverted castle? I think you can farm for the Crisshisghiosld much earlier than that.
Let's hijack this topic into a SOTN discussion! _________________

Which is a piss-poor reason to refrain from trying.
Come on, Lestrade. Think just how hip a career path you'll have carved: From webcomic e-superstar extraordinaire to Bungie shoe-polisher! _________________ "This is the most fun I've ever had without being drenched in the blood of my enemies!" |

Speaking as a Canadian working in the USA, I can tell you right now that the process of getting a work visa is retarded, and it's at least ten times worse for artists. My wife is literally legally unable to send writing to publishers -- even Canadian publishers -- because then she would be making income while living in America under a non-work visa, and that's just not allowed.
So maybe it's that? |

1) she has to work under the table, which means no legal recourse for getting screwed out of cash.
2) cash has to go somewhere, unless its stuffed under mattress. having a large amount of cash can result in probably cause searches which will be upheld by most american courts, sadly, due to war on some drugs. cash has to be explained somehow. _________________

So last night was the weirdest and greatest moment I've experienced in recent memory. My friend obtained three free tickets to see a huge—colossal, I'd wager—metal show at the Air Canada Centre... from one of the executive suites!
So for four hours last night, we headbanged to post-Pantera act Down, fucking Megadeth, and fucking fucking Ronnie James Dio/Black Sabbath supergroup Heaven and Hell*, while a very nice woman named Anna kept us stocked up on free food and booze.
And ice cream. At one point my friend started laughing uncontrollably because we were watching Dio bring down the roof while we devil-horned with one hand and ate Ben & Jerry's with the other. Man, I've never seen a crowd freak out so much as when Dio busts out the guitar wolf; the whole arena exploded. I had this reptilian thought, I must devil-horn this motherfucker! He invented devil-horning in metal!
It was all freaking incredible. Anna insisted I take the remainder of the pizza that was brought in with me, so I did and gave it one of the many homeless men hoping for a break outside the arena.
Surprisingly I can hear pretty well today, though there is a dull feeling in my ears, and my throat is scratchy from screaming my lungs out. After two evenings of late-night outings, though, I certainly could use a nap. IN HELL.

Hey, everyone; I have an idea for a sporadic, ten-minute video show called The Lonely Gamer. It involves me playing a few games at a time, alone. And bitching about it. It's a reaction to the conversation we had here a few pages ago, about how it's really hard for me to find folks with whom to play games.
In theory, it would be short enough to not be annoying, and bitter/snappy enough to be entertaining. Maybe I could play some people over Xbox Live and yell at them (without actually wearing a headset).
Would anyone actually be interested in this? |

bonus points if you get four gameboys and attempt to play four player Crystal Chronicles by yourself.
Or two-player Mario Kart Double Dash.
Adventures of Cookie and Cream might not be well enough known? |

There's a guy in Chinatown—a white guy with a curiously well-trimmed beard—who plays cheesy-sounding keyboard tunes for money. What sets him apart from other Wesley Willis Wannabes is his particular disability—he has no arms or legs.
In place of arms he has tiny nubs, and his keyboard is situated low to the ground so he can sit down and reach the keys with his "arms." It breaks my heart into a thousand bleeding pieces every time I hear his jaunty tunes.
Yet somehow, whenever I see him, either alone or with friends (for he obviously isn't getting set up—or anything, for that matter—on his own), he never looks pathetic. He always looks happy.
Yesterday in particular was a bit more uplifting, for as my wife and I crossed the intersection from which he plays, we hear him switch tunes—and start playing "Iron Man!"
Hell, I thought, Any man with no arms or legs who can play "Iron Man" is doin' okay. |

I love that guy!
I told you my story about him, right? My first week in the city, I'm walking up Spadina and he's there, chatting to some dude, and I overhear him say "yeah, I used to have a big amp and everything, but it was just too much to carry."
My head nearly exploded. _________________ aerisdead |

1004 in Korean can be read as "chunsa" (chun=1000, sa=4), which also means angel in Korean.
You can see it in a lot of fobby Korean girl screennames like aZnHoTTIE1004 or something. _________________

Koreans like to call it "Fresh Off the Beehengee" aka airplane.
Note I have no idea how to romanize Korean, hence it's probably wrong. _________________

I will. I WILLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to vandalize Tokyo with TGQ stickers, knowhwatImsayin'? I should slap one right in the middle of a Virtua Fighter cabinet.
Also have the wife's PSP loaded with clips and music and (gasp!) the last TGQ podcast to entertain me during my flight. Sadly (and not surprisingly), we don't really have any games to play on it. :-/
Also, will kidnap schoolgirls.
Also, GOING TO NINTENDO. By fuck or by FUCK, I will get there. |

I am here and alive! (And typing on a keyboard that makes apostrophes difficult.) Oh man, what a journey. I did not sleep a wink on the plane. (AWAKE ON A PLANE!) The ride from Narita Airport to here -- beautiful, beautiful Akihabara -- was looooonng. I have not slept in 18 hours or so! They fed us like supermodels in rehab on the plane. Including me, I counted three PSPs and six or seven DSes -- 95% of the DSes were owned by girls. Hilarious. I saw more DSes today than ever -- it was weird.
We are checked in and everything now. First order or business -- go to 7-floor manga store and buy the latest issue of Famitsu, JUST BECAUSE. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Oh Christ I am tired.
Noteable note: someone slapped an 'Obey' sticker on a sign in customs. I wonder how long it has been there?
Oh and fuck you JLPT test -- I seem to be getting along just fine. |

Hey, party people: what is the name (and box art) of that GOOD kanji/dictionary software for the DS? Does anyone remember? I think we discussed it on SB/IC but I forget... |
