There was an old Amiga game I used to play called Aaargh!

Is that what the thread is about or am I "too old", OLD MAN??

I have been AARRGHHHing a lot lately myself.

I haven't designed a website in ages, and apparently Dreamweaver UltraDev 4, serving me so well after many years of Notepad, does all sorts of stuff off by today's standards. I've tried to alter things using the W3 validator, but I'm still having a problem with tables in Firefox -- in IE, everything is matched up, but in Firefox, two columns aren't far enough to the right and the last column is just not aligned correctly at all.

I'm now learning that tables are not used much anymore and that CSS is the cat's pajamas. That isn't helping me! AAAHHHH!

http://www.nvu.com/index.php

it's actually quite easy to use, though i haven't given the css editor a runthrough it seems like it would make setting up the most obvious stuff - text styles and other formatting issues - really easy.

Downloaded! I will be giving it a go shortly. Many thanks.

I am seeing why CSS is used so much, but it's not fun trying to cram it in within a few days. Hold, brain! HOLD!

Seriously stop worrying about W3 validation. It isn't worth it, and most sites that go for a cross-browser solution have clean looking HTML (or XHTML if you're into that sort of thing) that doesn't validate.

If you have any CSS questions, let me know. CSS is a cruel mistress.

I've been toying with it some more, and it's not as exciting as I was lead to believe! Actually, it seems pretty interesting, I just hate being reminded of how behind I am in all this. I've found some really good online tutorials/articles, but I tend to like to highlight and read away from the computer. Any recommended readings?
