OH MY FUCK, people. Brad Delp, the mustachi-'fro'ed lead singer of arena rock heavyweights Boston, is FUCKING DEAD, DUDES. Never again will we hear his sweet lips belt out the track that curls Aerisdead's toes in delight, "More Than a Feeling."

Beloved/reviled music site Pitchfork had this to say:

Boston's first album, by the way, sold 17 million copies (17 million!!!! Chew on that, High School Musical!), laying the groundwork for "More Than a Feeling" to be performed in karaoke bars somewhere around 20 million times a week, before eventually working its way into the most popular (only?) guitar-based video game of all time.

I think that we all, in tribute, should record ourselves playing "More Than a Feeling" with as much fervour as we can muster. Post the videos here!

Zorak: You know, Michael Meyers? From that movie, Halloweeen? The one I loaned to you about a year ago? MY MOVIE?
Moltar: I guess I was watching it... with some of my friends.
Zorak: Hmph.
Moltar: I don't know if you're familiar with them, they're the rock band Boston.

You thought I was kidding, but I wasn't. BEHOLD THE ROCK.

(It sucks that I missed some notes. I was too busy trying to not look static.)

Nana, you have just made me question what I have been doing with the last three and a half years of my life. I can't believe it has been that long since I watched a Space Ghost episode!

Hell no, my friend, I was overjoyed! We crank the arena rock at work whenever we can get away with it. My only regret is that your particular "power move" (if you remember it) wasn't featured in this video. That shit is the stuff of legend, and I for one will never forget it!
