i went to a pretty hot valentine's party over the weekend. a friend of mine was on cupid duty (passing notes between people while wearing ridiculous red devil wings) and she looked pretty cute.

no money until friday, so we're going to have a belated v-day thing this weekend. we're probably going to have some drinks and/or eat out at a restaurant (go with whatever meaning you want, there!)

Man, best Valentine's Day ever! Nancy came home to a new big new vase full o' flowers and we went out for a great meal at this cozy restaurant just around the corner. Then we came home and—uh, yeah, Best Valentine's Day ever.

I think my favourite part of the evening was Nancy reading the little card I included with the flowers:

Before I met you,
My heart was so famished
But now I'm fulfilled...
So make me a sammich!

REALLY romantic.

And Winged Assassins, considering the world we live in today, is there really something wrong with a day that encourages you to celebrate love? At least we're not celebrating Japanese V-day. That's some potentially awkward stuff!

We watched Adventures in Babysitting and ate Heart Shaped pasta with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce. It was a pretty good night!
