If you look into the actors eyes you can see them saying "help us."

Perhaps it is "save yourselves, the money is already in our pockets."

The actors seem to lack any emotion.... at all.

I'm not sure why people get aggravated by Uwe Boll movies. It's not like he's ruining anything worth saving.

No, like I was seriously saying, look at the actors eyes. They are emotionless. I could care less about a movie bassed on a game that I almost hate.

I dunno about you but this film is going to be another great Uwe Boll comedy hit such as The House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark movies! The expression of Blood Rayne in the movie poster is simply the best!

Also it seems that Uwe Boll is going to be pretty busy for the next five years making video game movies. Too bad he's planning on making a Far Cry movie, I actually like that game.

WHO IS GOING TO STOP THIS MADMAN!?

Seriously, how do these films get the green light?

My guess is that the licenses cost almost nothing to get and the movies cost almost nothing to make, but people will go to see them because they have an emotional attachment to the license or a hope that somehow the movie based on something that they like might actually end up being good.

I really want to see House of the Dead.

You don't. It's not even bad enough to be good.

C'mon. It HAS to be that bad. It's got clips from the first arcade game interspursed throughout it. It can't be good enough to not be bad enough to be good.

They're used kinda like starwipes.

I assure you it's more dull than bad, though. Which is Boll's greatest sin as a filmmaker.

if they used voice samples from the house of dead 2, then it would be bad enough to be good.

Agreed. Not bad enough to be good.
Too genuinely shit--simply lame--to be entertaining camp.

The way that Microsoft shopped Halo around, hate to say it, but that's the right way to handle game -> movie adaptation. Bungie threatened to do very nasty things as a company if MS mishandled the property with some abomination of a film. So Microsoft reacted by going with a 100% control route, allowing Bungie to pick and choose the writer, operate with surgical precision on the script, and institute a mandate on the minimum budget of the film.

Halo is a bigger game license than anything Uwe has touched thus far, natch, so it's not really something all publishers can afford to do. For most, they'll accept the cross-media promotion, bad movie or not.
Bunch of Uwe Whores.

Problem is, Halo really needs to be mucked with if it's going to be made into a film. Strict faith to the license won't do them any good here; all it will do is make people realize how stupid Halo's story is once you take away the gameplay.

Bloodrayne looks kind of fat in the poster. Not that I mind. Also, there is a mullet samurai. So far this movie looks like it might have it all.

halo has a ringworld, though!

not to mention such memorable characters as master chief.

Bloodrayne is supposed to be wearing tight latex. That chick in the poster seems to be wearing some lame cotton thing. Dissapointing.

At an old E3, they had some chick dress up more accurately for the promotion.

Not that I care, I never even played the game. Rolling Eyes

While on the subject of films.... I quite liked the original Resident Evil film.
It adapted the storyline just enough to keep it fresh, but still kept all the stuff that made it feel like RE.

Then again, my personal favourite film of all time was "Big Trouble in Little China".

I says it before, I says it again: Bio Zombie is the better HotD film.

I just looked at the bloodrayne poster again. I thought it was a joke poster the longer I looked at it. Toups that is not a mullet samurai, it is a mullet indian samurai.

I should have an Uwe Boll marathon some night. I'd like to see Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead. What did he do before he started allegedly raping our childhood and teenage years? Apparently he's popular enough to get his name on the poster for those movies.

Ok, looks like he did a movie about how much he hates America. Maybe this is his revenge?

Looks like Bloodrayne the movie now has a website. With trailers and production stills.

Like this one:

(I'm frumpy!)

The trailer is surprisingly bloody, but the girl playing bloodrayne isn't anywhere near as sexy as she needs to be for something that's trying to sell itself so blatantly on sex and violence. If I'm seeing the tiny trailer correctly there's a hot lesbian vampire kiss with two less-than-hot vampires. What are they thinking?

The girl is perfectly good looking. It's really more her outfit. I mean. If they are going for, you know, the boner factor. It's far tamer than what she wears in the game.

Anyway, yeah, Bloodrayne is a b-movie game series, and a shitty one at that. I think Boll is a great match in this case.
