http://infendo.blogspot.com/2005/06/leaked-revolution-ad.html

It feels strange that in a little over 6 months the revolution will be out. There is such little concrete information on the system (esp. considering that PS3 will be out fall of '06 and we have almost all the info). Hopefully we will see much more info in the not too distant future. When does that big Japanese Nintendo conference happen? This fall right?

This isn't going to happen. I'm guessing that this is just another one of the ongoing fake Nintendo ads that have been coming out lately. Remember the "On" thing? Nintendo can't get their system out by March.

Check this out. Nintendo fans are wierd.

I have no uncle who works for Nintendo, but someone I know does, and they confirmed the unconfirmation. Their cousin's brother's girlfriend is Miyamoto's daughter's friend's husband, so I think they would know.

By the way it's spelled "verified".

You should just mod me so I can correct your spelling errors.

Seconded.

The Revolution will be a toaster-helmet.
The Revolution will beat the XB2 and PS3.
The Revolution will be villified.

Also, Toups is DA MAN.

OMG! I totally want that t-shirt! *Cough!* Darn! I just revealed myself as a Nintendork. -_-;

Anyway, if it does come out next March I'm hoping that the price tag will be a nice $250 or under--hopefully under. I know its going to be a bit cheaper then the Playstation 3 or the X-box 360 since it isn't as hundred or fifteen times as powerful as their predecessors.

It's supposed to be more in the under-$200 range. Cheap as possible.

Even better! But I doubt it. I'm still expecting that $250 price tag when it finally releases, and then six months later the price will drop a fifty just in time for either E3 or the Holidays.

I know this is out of topic but which is more expensive? The Dreamcast or the SEGA Saturn? Didn't the Saturn sold for $400 when it was release or was that the Playstation? I remembered the original price for the Dreamcast as it was priced at $249.99 when it came out in the ninth day of the ninth month in the year 1999. God... I can't believe I still remember their hype. -_-;

It kind of shows you the value of technology in the past years.

That newfangled Xbox may be $200, but that's not including the cost of any games, controllers, a hard drive or memory card, and the Highly Official proprietary cable or combination of cables to actually hook the thing up to an HD television, all of which are going to be $10+ more expensive than the last time around. The turkey's cheap, but they'll gouge you on the cranberry sauce.

I agree. I had to dish out an extra thirty bucks to get a reciever that would allow to play DVD movies on my X-box. Nintendo is also planning something similar to the NINTENDO Revolution I believe. Mmm-mmm! I've always been a sucker for good wholesome cranberry sauce.

The new Xbox will be much more than $200. $300 at least, and I'm betting it will be as high as 350. If not higher!

Gamers want it! Gamers want it!

Well I'm not getting it until the price lowers... Although, I'm a bit interested on what Square-Enix is planning on the X-box 360 version of Final Fantasy XI: Online. I hope their version doesn't come in 'Chinese Gil-Sellers' flavor but I doubt it since its a pretty big business now of days.

A girl frequently internets in an overtly 'bubbly' or spunky manner. I don't have an explanation for the phenomenon. Just the observation.

You see, this is why I try not to imagine someone's physical appearance based off of their characteristics online. You'll just get mixed up on your expectations with the individual which will fruther lead into disappointment, regret, and anger for those of us that really needs a little anger management classes. Yeah!

...

*Cough!* I also genderbend as a girl avatar in MMORPGs, so I try to act as a girl so others would believe that I am one in role-playing. If I fooled one person then I'm doing a pretty good job at it. I think...

I played a female character in a persistant world when I still played Neverwinter Nights. It was kind of disgusting the things people would do. I was trying to be a serious roleplayer against the fact that most others were not. I would find a fun group everyonce in a while because of it. The thing was, I would love to let guys, who had been "hitting on me" for 5 or 10 min, in on that I was a dude. They were pretty quiet after that. This... was a long time ago though.

I wish I had known you back in "the day" when I was still playing NWN. I would have liked to play with another serious roleplayer. Eventually, I gave up on hard roleplaying due to other people not taking it seriously and played as various members of the A-Team.

They should know better... Even if they are thirteen year old boys on puberty. They should know...

Afterall:
Daedalus Project wrote:

Shaper, your avatar is of a chick? I thought it was like some 10 year old garage mechanic or something.

Anyway, I avoid such confusion by having a bearded avatar. Of myself. With beard no less. Thanks to Personasama for it. I was a bit nervous tbh, I normally never show my face on the net. Too paranoid of assasination you see.

Otherwise, what's a slammer?

Damn. Maybe my internetting style isn't manly enough.

Wait, let me try this....
---
"Dude!!! Yah! So then chaps, whose up for a few pints and a Winning 11 tournament?!"
---

Would you class that as stereotypical male net banter? I injected a bit of a British tone in there, which I think keeps it balanced.

Anyway, back on topic.

The Revolution. They mentioned emulating older systems. Does anyone think this might spark a return to NES or SNES game development?

Shigesato Itoi, according to Tim Rogers, is toying with the idea of making Mother 3 a SNES game.

I would relish the ability to buy and play new NES games. Priced cheaply of course.

INTERNET PHALLUS!

Internet gender guessing is always interesting.
And it really isn't so hard to roleplay as another gender if the only thing we're going by is text displayed on a screen. I mean, reading itself requires a lot of imagination because it's just decoding symbols into messages that our minds can communicate in. Adding on top of that some hints of ditzy female-ness and our minds our all to eager to profile someone as "girl."

So in conclusion, Toups needs a girlfriend.

(I'm kidding Toups. You know i love you. But not in that extralife way.)

In other news, I did not know that Dessegaega was a girl!
This is my second time being shocked by this same news!

In less important news, should I be concerned that these new systems are being released already? What's the point if there's not useful game being released anytime soon? I've learned my lesson from buying a console too soon after the Gameboy Advance.

Those cold bitter mornings where I would stare at the rainbow tinted Gameboy logo dance across the screen... only to plug in Tetris and cry to myself about how wonderful it would be if it was ADVANCED.

The last system I bought on release date was the Dreamcast. I purchased it with a VMU and a copy of Sonic Adventure. That was paradise.
My Chao... I remember renting a Dreamcast at Hollywood Video a month before 9/9 just to play SA. I left the Dreamcast on for a week just to keep my save data. I broke down and eventually ran to a local import store to purchase a VMU (known as VMSes in Japan!) only to discover you could not save your data if you already started a game with no VMU attached. Ah, sweet bitterness.

Sonic Adventure really was an awesome release game. Well, it wasn't a release game in Japan, but it was certainly nice for America.

....
I want a new Sega console.

I often role play as a lesbian, mostly to keep away the drooling morons.

Wouldn't keep away the drooling morons pretending to be lesbians, though.

And how the fuck did you sneak that avatar in?
