boo as a person from quebec have you seen the film c.R.A.Z.Y. ? I felt the symbolism was almost comedically convoluted and overwrought and picked up on all kinds of seemingly damaged or discarded plot threads and undercurrents, but really i'm a sucker for that sort of thing.

I didn't see the movie but you're point of view is exactly like mine. Movies done over here are good, but we still don't have an idiom on our own... so... I don't find these movies really interesting. However, if you like music, you should check Harmonium.

Yeah, I started hearing about this earlier today. There's probably been a lot of progress in just the few hours that I was away.

Still, the 'landing on my feet' that I'll be doing probably won't involve returning. So Joy Luck to all y'all!

Sorry guys, I only noticed this thread now. Before I read through it, I wanted to ask: who summoned 4chan and 7chan into this anyway? I must admit it was quite a spectacular way to speed up the destruction of a forum. I remember sitting there seeing the chaos being created from the regulars rising up against icyclam and from the outside brought on by 4chan, and just being amazed at how beautiful the sight was. It's like a country being raided by bandits from the outside and rebels on the inside, and being mesmerized at how beautiful the city looks on fire.

Netculture is so fascinating.

Which was perhaps a good thing! You know how during break ups sometimes you or your partner say things that prevent any chance of reconciliation? The forums blew up, yes, but at least there was enough community left to be able regroup here and start a new forum.

Drinking a rum & coke!

Guys, do any of you know any girls who really like rum & coke? Like, they would actually order it at a bar? Or buy bottles of rum explicitly to make rum & coke?

I mean, it is such a popular drink among guys of all creeds and castes, yet I don't think I've met a single girl who is into it. Even the manliest drinks have some popularity amongst the ladies, and even the girliest of girly drinks are appreciated by the men.

Yet, the rum & coke just doesn't seem to hold much ground on that side of the fence...

I can host it on my own server, if need be. I'm not sure how you'd transport it to me, though.

Equal parts: Tequila, Triple Sec, and Orange Juice.

Fort: http://www.sendspace.com/ does 300MB, try that.

I don't see why you wouldn't want to share it, especially when times are what they are.

No... I haven't even bothered to try and post it to YouTube. I'm pretty sure they will say no, and I don't even want to risk losing my director's account.

Thanks! I hope you dig my future vids. I think my next one is due in a week or two.

Anyway, as for that file of scraps I've been saving over the past year or so.... here it is. WARNING: some of it is quite questionable material. Includes does of porn and soul cancer. Its just random stuff that I saw posted and thought was "interesting" on one level or another. Enjoy...

I'm really glad about 108's most recent posts and agree with whatever person called them reassuring. The gossip was getting to me and I was starting to think he was somehow a malicious force in this event.

My damn internet connection went down on me last night, right as the internet was being more interesting than it'll probably be for the next year. In desperation and feeling lonely, I blew the dust off my tab and drew some Insert Credit Forums fan art located here.

...None of it is that good or means anything, so don't try to look for messages anywhere. If anyone looks ugly / cool it really just came down to random chance since I didn't put much time into any of them (except for the coloring on that Dhex one).

Hey, another lurker here. I've been around for at least two forum detonations (maybe three?) and now I'm sorry I didn't turn my computer on last weekend. From what I've read here it was a hell of a lightshow.

IC's been an ongoing education. I tried posting a bit early on and got slapped around because I didn't lurk moar (and what I was saying was damned inane), but still - IC has shaped my taste in games and how I think about them. It's also responsible for making me spend a lot of money and it's changed how I post to forums. It's very good to know that you guys are going to continue with your own thing elsewhere. I'll follow - I feel like I should give something back, and whether or not that flies I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens now that I'm relatively sure my output won't suck.

I'll register at the new IC, though it'll probably be under a different name. As bad as the whole execution of this thing was, if Brandon manages to create forums that are like the IC forums were four years ago...well, that was a nice place, too.

I suppose I never fit in with IC as I want to say "what if" all the time and come up with weird and creative ideas. Where most people at IC are more interested in debating existing media in terms of itself and its merits. Remember the survival giant robot sim that was proposed in that one dev forum thread? That was my favorite one. Because we were actually being creative. For me gaming is about dreaming, it’s about creating a waking dream in which we can apply ourselves in ways we can’t in the real world. I don’t know. Perhaps I should write a manifesto.*

Please please please post more if you come to the "next IC" (or whatever the Toups-born future is). I really appreciate strange and unusual concepts being posted, or even mundane ones that are made special through personal enthusiasm.

(Oddly enough, I was thinking about the giant robot survival game the other night, and was hoping to bump the topic back up again to see if anyone else had thought more about it)

Also, I really think everyone should try and give both upcoming "IC forums" a chance - if not posting, at least lurking for a while to see how things turn out. Although it would probably be better to hold off on posting on Brandon's one for a while.[/i]

NEW AXE THREAD IN THIS THREAD!

Ok, so, if the forums were still around, I would totally have just made this a new thread, but since they're not... I guess I'm posting it here?

=======================

So when do you take your showers? Do you do it right before bed? Maybe, a little bit before bed followed by a midnight snack? In the morning before a leisurely breakfast? After breakfast? Just before rushing out the door? Or something crazy like in the middle of the day after lunch? Or at totally random times?

This is an important question!

This thread would have probably had a poll!

Totally a rockstar.

The other day I was at this rock show and the guitarist pulled me on stage, and the girl I brought the next day said, "Man [HSB's name], your hair is totally made for the stage!"
