Maybe it would be a good idea to outline what the new site is going to be and try to find a name for that specific thing. Some might want it to be a forum, other want it to be a "forum and..." or "a site with ... and forum". Should it be similar to insert credit? Should it be insert credit 2?
Where lie the priorities? If you know those then you might have a name that reflects that. Then you can have a name that is catchy and attracts a certain kind of people. Or you can have a name for a community that has been a community for some time and appeals more to them than anyone else. Of course the name wouldn't have to reflect the site. Could be sarcastic. Whatever. Just...
I think there's some outlining to be done... but I'm not a very intuitive person.
Reading this thread I felt like not everyone is thinking in the same direction. That could be helpful to deciding on a name though! Otherwise it is truly hard to decide on creative things as a group. |

Someone said Cause and Effect earlier. Could be pointing in the right direction? Videogames are a study of cause and effect... well so is billiard (is it billard in English?) but they are more centere on psychological and philosophical themes. I think there might be a smart name in the realm of physics or psychology. Wouldn't look as gamey... which could be wanted or not. |

I think I could live with enemied artist.
I like the plan of churning out more ideas, then having shaper or someone lock the thread after a couple of days to make a new poll with the best submissions. |

Game.Press.Die.com
Game means you play video games, you're a gamer.
Press means you read/post stuff in the forum, you're a lurker.
Die means a lot of stuff in this context --» Interaction with the user.
And taken has a whole, it says fuck you games journalism! |
