I have when I owned it on Super Mario All-Stars. It's damn great and one of the best things Nintendo has ever made. _________________ "This is the most fun I've ever had without being drenched in the blood of my enemies!" |

i agree! in fact, chances are there's going to be something about it in the upcoming issue of the magazine. the reason i'm asking is that i heard that super mario bros. 2 was directed by the programmer(s?) of the first game, not miyamoto. and this fits fairly neatly into my conception of the game! but i have been totally unable to authenticate this. and, uh, i would need to pretty soon!
i cleared all the stages, including the letter worlds and "fantasy world" 9, in the all-stars version, but i have yet to pass world 6 in the famicom mini release. _________________

I remember reading this somewhere, somewhere RELIABLE, but I can't find it again for the life of me. I'll try again tomorrow morning.
Also, you probably originally heard this from me at IC. |

Has Wikipedia helped at all, dess?
Now I just feel the urge to find the original NES ROM online, which is a feat in and of itself, as well as play Air again.
I have so many good memories of Lost Levels, I really do. It alone, along with Yoshi's Island justifies my childhood investment into the SNES. Hopefully I'll find Super Metroid around somewhere cheap too, because when I look back, the SNES really did leave me starving for good games. But those two games were worth it, I'll just buy a Genesis cheap later.. _________________ "This is the most fun I've ever had without being drenched in the blood of my enemies!" |

I could be and most likely am completely and utterly wrong, but my understanding has been that Miyamoto has always done little to no actual programming work, and is strictly on the design end of things. Which, if true, always made the drooling personality cult that surrounds the man seem-- to me--a little unfair at best. |
