Do that one more time, and I'll bleed you, real slow, an' leave you here.

Wink <- Obligatory smiley, just in case you thought I was serious. I was just screwing around, and I know you like films, so would probably get the referance right away.

Yeah, it's tough trying to get material together on a regular, or weekly basis. Still, it's more exposure, which is always good! Just... revel in it!

This should be one for all the movie fans:

"Escape Big Trouble in New Jersey"

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=916080951812235843&q

A parody of two of my favourite films. They can't do decent lighting to save their lives, but the choreography isn't bad for an amature film, and the editing isn't bad either.

I chuckled anyway.

No, Bill Duke. He gave an excellent performance in the film.

A friend of mine had a thing like this on a Bleach fansub. It was really wierd. It started off with the episode of Bleach but about 5 minutes in it was like somebody changed the channel and that kind of stuff was on for about 15 minutes. After that they had this bizarre workout thing that made me nearly pee myself and then they went back to the Rube Goldberg-style stuff.

it's not abstract.

just a double-dose of kickass.

it's worth your time, though. the plot is weak, but the execution is mostly strong. the ending is surprisingly crisp.

Even after playing the demo, I'm still not totally convinced. I'll keep it in mind, though, if I stumble upon at a bargain bin in the future.

I hope you like hamsters.

P.S. Thanks for introducing me, indirectly, to Swans, by the way. I've been getting into Michael Gira's body of work since you mentioned them on your blog, and I haven't regretted it a single bit.

EDIT: THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH!

Also, all the little details in the videos make much more sense if you mine those long forum topics where the whole thing originated--assuming they haven't been erased by now.

That song seems to be from the "White Knuckle Scorin'" album that Nintendo Power offered many years ago. I seem to remember it being very cheap, but it didn't interest me at the time. Now I'm kind of curious to hear the other songs.

Oh man, this joke is still going on?!

I can't help but not think it is funny. Or rather, I have seen all of these and know the joke, but just can't laugh at it. I don't know why.

It's like Rejected, but non-fictional, actually aired, and 20 years before Don Hertzfeldt was even born!

Hell, this is such horrible quality. Anyways, this video was one of those things that most fans of NiN knew about for a long time. Finally that offical NIN video compelation came out (vhs) in the late 90s and it had all the video's in this video, but it is missing everything inbetween. Like the intro in the car and the guy getting the crap beat out of him before happiness in slavery, then, well. Gave Up comes on and that was totally new stuff. Man, I wish that I had a better version (yes, I know the only way it has been released was through vhs copies) but I am rekindled of my frothing demand to see this that I had back in High School.

so, these are completely brilliant. i love how the product only appears onscreen for, like, a fraction of a second, and the audience is given no incentive to buy the product other than "because if you don't we will kill you".

The recent SegaCD FMV shenanigans made me think of this long-lost, never-released 3DO gem: Duelin' Firemen!

I can't imagine having to turn that footage into a game somehow. It was clearly hard enough to turn it into a 7-minute trailer.

The Great Canadian Animated Short: Richard Condie's The Big Snit.

It is a thing of beauty!

Also for some reason I found 'Figure skater wearing a disturbing fake muscle costume skates to Tom Jones' "Sex Bomb"' hilarious.

It's a great character study. Note his indifference in the trench run part while he kills a rebel pilot and then fiddles with his radio.

What's with people posting their awful The Movies movies to YouTube? [EDIT : I changed my mind, I think The Movies looks like fun]
