Your friend and mine, Jim Ether, has 20 minutes of his feature film Alert, made entirely out of Flash over the course of 3 years, up on Google Video.

P.S. I star in this film for about a second or so. SEE IF YOU CAN FIND ME WITHOUT ANY HINT AS TO WHAT I ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE!

Neat!

Is the rest of the game just a standard Lolo deal?

It's kind of interesting. The whole game takes place on a Zelda I-esque overworld, where each screen contains its own puzzle. There's quite a few hidden items to be found, like a raft to let you cross bodies of water or an axe that lets you cut down the bushes. The whole nonlinear aspect makes for an interesting experience, but it is much harder than any of the Lolo games we got over here as a result. I have yet to finish it myself.

Strange that Hudson now has this weird public persona that's come seemingly out of nowhere. Then again, I wonder if this is how Hudson has always represented itself in Japan.

You will want to watch The Lonely Gamethrone a.k.a. The Boney King Of Nowhere.

I'd buy that for a dollar!

The real question is why it hasn't been considered for Western release.

My favourite part of that Centipede ad is the 8-bit gun sound overlayed on a clip of a world war 2 machine gunner.

the killer has been identified as jesus christ.

also, who wrote the metal wolf chaos stuff? it seems far less shitty than, like, everything.

This is heart-breakingly sad.

i.e. the lyrics are made all the more poignant by what happened afterwards.

You guys will like this extremely prescient documentary on hypertext and interactive media by Douglas Adams in 1990.

The intro has some memorable Gilliamsesque imagery.

Music video filmed with a gameboy camera.

"It was filmed with a GameBoy Camera, played through the GameBoy Player
attachment for GameCube, recording directly onto a VCR. Four different
takes were then edited together to make the final video, using Final
Cut Pro."

Pretty awesome from that aspect.

I love those strange dithering effects the GB camera uses. I used to know a page with a whole bunch of GB camera photos, many abstract and beautiful, but I can't find it again.
