You know, I didn't get to watch that when they were performing wherever it was they were performing it. They're looking for new members again this semester - maybe they'll perform at school so that I could actually go and watch one day?

Oh hell. I have the stage-managing experience, but not the time, I don't think.

I'm definitely going to save the date to see it, though, since CalArts isn't really that far.

My, that was started at CalArts? I had the impression that it was a prewritten thing that was passed around and performed. I had no idea it was started here.

EDIT: Also!

Just a bit of Sega love, the latter three for games I was particularly fond of when I was younger.

Yep!

I think that was one of the few RPGs I really finished when I was younger. I never finished a Shining game.

Sonic Adventure 2 was my favorite Dreamcast game, if not Sonic Team game (this excludes PSO and every good Dreamcast game).

There were so many small details in the texture work for SA2... if you stop in front of a store in City Escape, you can see NiGHTS toys and other Sonic Team merchandise in the windows! On one of Rouge's space stages you can find a PSO monomate! And... and...

Yeah. I can't remember all the little details. But it's the thought that counts. The EFFORT! THE LOVE! THE JOY!!

Also, my friend emailed me today saying he was determined to beat my top score at City Escape this winter break. Apparently sometime during the summer of 2001 I beat the stage in something under 3 minutes with 360 rings. I didn't even know the stage had that many rings!

Ahhhh, Sonikku!

I made a few banners from the screenshots I took while playing PSO Blue Burst during it's demo trial last summer!

A screen cap from the Knuckle's Chaotix sound test easter egg. To get Amy to show up you have to punch up some numbers in the "Color Test" menu, not unlike entering codes in Sonic 2. The full phrase she is speaking is actually "Cool, Sweet, and Catchy!" which I feel almost accurately describes the game's music. It has a funky, early nineties pop flavor to it. Oh, and you can't see it, but all of those keys light up when a song is played according to the instrumental tracks, like a midi program.

Hmm!
And here I thought it was from the Sonic Pico drawing program!

Looking at that picture, it reminds me of how Sonic was originally a very "hip" music oriented series. What happened? Now it's like a house party/ bad punk band ordeal with emo hedgehogs!

Sonic Team makes me sad. :(

I also want to play PSO Card Revolution on the DS!

EDIT: So I totally did that thing where I didn't read the rules outlining what the purpose of putting the banners here is, and what the filetype needed to be, and like an ass I uploaded a .PNG file that was about half the needed size. Here is my flailing attempt at redemption:

i mean, i laughed my ass off at the tenor of the about section, but really. it's a clever project.

I've been thinking about Johnny Turbo a lot lately.

I think it's because of his theme song. I need to find it again.

The digital camera cable's been lost in some box for months, but I dug it out just for you, friend.

Just imagine there's a little boy with a SegaCD and no Genesis off to the side, crying. Also I forgot my gloves. Also ignore the button (which is sadly not a Pongism button since it never showed up Crying or Very sad)

Also: This Johnny Turbo theme song? From this Johnny Turbo movie-thing? (Warning: 48mb)

Actually, the one I'm thinking of was sung to the Sonic Heroes theme song. It's quite good! I'll link it if I ever find it.

OH my God, Cross Country Canada!? Super Hero League of Hoboken!?

I would have liked to see the box unloading cutscene from Cross Country.

The first one is Angry God Bowling I believe, one of first the Indie Game Jam entries at least judging from the sprites.

Someone else who remembers Cross Country Canada! I AM NOT ALONE. I would've liked to grab one of the ridiculous prizes at the end, too, like the dancing lobster dinner, but that would've required me to extract the commodity list.

And it is, in fact, Angry God Bowling and Superhero League of Hoboken. 3 gold stars!

Where are you from in Canada, Lackey?
