You sir are freaking me out.
I watched Invader Zim for the first time ever yesterday and it was amazing. I didn't see the Gameslave episode, but I did see the NanoZim episode, which also has to do with video games. I will have to agree though, it could be one of the best cartoons ever made.
I did notice something odd about the pacing though. It doesn't seem as tight as it should be.

Johnny's a bit too junior-high-school, if you know what I mean. |

I've got it!
And it's ok. Zim seems a lot better because it has to sneak in its vulgarity subtly (did you notice that the radio station is called WTFU?). That works a lot better. SQUEE seems like it might be the best, but I haven't read any of it yet.

I borrowed a friend's Squee book ages ago, and while suffering from some of the overt vulgarity (I agree Zim works much better because it's toned down) it is defintely worth taking a look at.
Though, Happy Noodle Boy has to be my favorite Vasquez comic. If you've never read it, imagine if Grrr were a sado-masochistic stick figure with a penchant for the "f" word. |
