Not so much! I'm thinking of extending the droop to a fun manchu once I can link up the upper and lower bits more convincingly. I've said that somewhere before and now I will hang my head in shame.

aviators are the best sunglasses ever. i made mine last nearly a decade. then someone sat on them.

liz was never into it, and now all of a sudden everyone's rocking them again. it's the price you pay for being ahead of the curve.

i have no recent photos of anything fun. i dunno if someone took pictures nyee.

Minus the coke.

And I haven't combed my hair in over a dozen years. Seriously. I don't think I even own one. The wife likes me shaggy.

I am a geek so I decided to make some PCB guitar picks.

They turned out pretty good, and other than inhaling a whole bunch of lead fumes while cutting the board I'm fairly pleased.

(Man I just keep replying to myself...)

I've been taking a lot of photos lately with my cameraphone, most of which end up on my flickr account if you're interested (which you aren't).

Also, I bought my first car (on my own) today. It's a used 2003 Civic Hybrid with 49K miles on it. The fact that it's a hybrid means I can drive in the carpool lanes here in California even when I'm alone in the car, which should save me about 25-30 minutes of commute time every evening.

And here is my old car which was traded in for a magnificent $100:

Congrats on the car. I looked into one of those when I was buyin' my car a few years ago but I ended up settling with a Mazda 3. Pretty sweet still!

So in my attempt to rope more people into web 2.0 bullshit, I have set up some things.

Here is a TGQ group on Flickr

Now the neat thing is that I've set it up so when you add a picture to that pool, it will also be posted here in this thread by my trusty NanaBot7000 for people to comment on.

The group is public, and I've sent invites to everyone I know from TGQ already on my contacts list, but please join up (even if you don't have a Flickr account, they're free!).

(disclosure: I do work for Yahoo! Inc, the company which owns Flickr, however I have no direct involvement with Flickr nor do I get any bonus points for scoring them new members. I really just think it's a great site.)

I Maid Café - Receipt

The Panda and I went to the newly opened maid café here in Toronto. Since I didn't get any photos, here's a shot of the receipt, static-electrically-stuck to my television, which is displaying the café's website via the Wii internet channel.

Finally

At some point I determined that I wouldn't play any new games until I had finally beaten Super Mario Bros. I got the game when I was a small child, but I had never beaten it until now.

Dear god did this take a lot of time. I really do suck at video games.

Died in a fire they're uh.. on vacation.

Actually the 7(000) thing is a pun on the name Nana itself (read the Nana manga for an explanation).

I have never seen that before in my life. We certainly don't have it in my neck in the woods (one of the capitals of Australia, mind you), but perhaps it's a re-branded drink we already have here to help market it overseas.

I wonder if it will be as succesful as those Fosters commercials. Which, by the way, is the worst beer in Australia. We ship it everywhere else because we refuse to drink it.

I'm afraid I don't know much about the composer, but "iFUTURELIST" is a soundtrack that (for whatever reason) got uploaded to quite a few places with VG and anime music soundtracks. A lot of people, including myself, like it! It's chiptuney but without the chiptunes, I guess. As far as I know it hasn't appeared in any giant robot opening videos, however.
