Yes, I believe you may be onto something there.

We have rudabega pie. I don't think I like it. There is also a can of whipped cream in the fridge.

I like that.

Dessgeega, did you take those photos with a Gameboy Camera? They look similar to the photos that thing took.

How do you transfer the photos to your PC? Is there some sort of connector on the camera cartridge? After seeing that music video that James Kochalka supposedly did with a Gameboy Camera, I've been sort of interested in getting a gbc of my own to fiddle with. Bonus points if I don't have to break out my old gameboy to shoot photos with it, but I imagine that is impossible. Still it would be a fun toy until I get enough resources to build a fisheye-lens camera.

i hooked my gamecube / gameboy player up to a video capture device hooked up to my computer, which i think is the way james kochalka did it too. the gameboy camera works fine on a gba sp, except the camera's upside down. there are ways to compensate for this: there's a setting to flip the image, or you can hold the gameboy upside down when taking pictures.

The above is the only half-good-looking image I got out of october. landscape photography is hard when more often than not there's no one specific subject and all you want to do is to capture some colors or something. I'm too shy for street photography of any sort, too. I feel like i need a massive amount of photography equipment and a nice slr on me and a "photographer" badge on my chest in order to feel like i have any right to be someplace taking pictures.

I know precisely what you mean. I was given an assignment in my intro to photography class to take some shots of continuing motion where I was to pick a moving subject and follow them with the camera as I took the picture. I ended up taking a lot of photographs of cars passing by on the boulevard in front of my dorm, as well as some people walking by. However, I always waited until they passed me before I took the shot because I felt really strange snapping photographs of random strangers and their cars. However, the shots turned out well enough to satisfy my whims.

Oh yeah: Holidays in the desert.
P1020159

People are worried about special cactus gardens like this one because we're having unusually cold weather and freezing temperatures kill cacti. I wonder if leaving the lights on all night would keep them warm enough? Heh.

People do that in florida to keep their tropical stuff from freezing when we get a cold snap.

how many hours of daylight do you canadians get right now? I've lived in Wisconsin all my life, but even though I'm not that far north I still find it intolerable sometimes. Maybe I just wake up too late.

I love those last three pictures, Lackey.

These clay dogs are for a board game I had to make as part of a group project in design theory and methods. I made the dogs while watching branded to kill at 4 in the morning a few weeks ago. The lack of sleep shows Sad (but then again, I'm just not a very good sculptor, either)

In my town we're getting a solid 9 hours of daylight I'd say. From sunrise at 7 to sunset at 4.

This was a freak afternoon. Snowed all day and weather returned to spring-like conditions for the rest of the month. T'was early foreshadowing for the real deal:

It was -25 degrees out that week.

Digi, it looks like your camera can actually pick up the unique colour of street lights. I always have trouble getting it to show up (mine look very yellow).

And sawtooth, that little clay dog is adorable; I love the serious expression.
