Controller storage solution:

It's a shoe organizer that's designed to be hung on a door that you can get from Target for like, 5 bucks.

I posted this elsewhere, but... check out Chez Lestrade!

Where The Magic Happens
Not a good photo, but yes. Left to Right: cart o' unsorted shit (soon to be sorted); art/junk drawers and scanner; desk with iMac, Gloomy Bear, art stuff, etc.

Up top, L–R: random shit; Xbox 360 street ad; local letterpress work; eBoy portrait of Bruce Lee; Gloomy Nancy poster; Empty Words poster.
This Is Where the Magic Happens

Workspace, with Cat
Yup. I was trying to finish up TGQ#6 and my cat decided she needed attention. I took this photo while uploading the final version of the magazine to Shaper Monday night. That little black-and-white sticker has been on every computer I've owned since 2000.

On first glance at that picture I read the "purple haze" bottle as "pure hate." Which would be a good name for a brand of drink.

<professor_scissors> if you only saw that picture from the neck down

I don't know if that's a compliment or what.

yeah, well, there was a thunderstorm yesterday that I wanted to practice with and ... I almost got struck by lightning trying to follow your advice, john. Struck by lightning.

While looking for a suitable picture of lightning, I came across what has to be the most adorable picture of it ever taken:

So THAT's why you moved away from the I-10, Shaper!

Ton of shots from Nashville, today. Drove up there on Friday and back on Sunday to get some stuff out of storage since I'm not going to school this semester. It was the first time I had only my new 1.7 50mm to work with and it was sort of frustrating!

Did some nonstandard photoshopping to this one - separate color balance adjustments on the left and right halves:

Used Dodge a tad to bring out the "STAHLMAN" lettering:

Happy Dreamcast Day, everybody.

(If you zoom in you can see the drawing more clearly. Sidewalk chalk doesn't show up well from a distance, what can I say?)
