I'm a pro blogger now, guys! Be sure to stop by from time to time.

I never thought I'd end up in the dhex zone, but, well, hey, weirder things have happened.

Besides Toups is doing it too.

Somebody should let Toups* know that starting off an article (even an online one) with a definition is pretty much hackiest thing possible.

What an eclectic little tech blog! Can you post pretty much anything technology related and get away with it?

I use the French spelling, because back in Soviet times French was still considered international language number one. Which means that all Soviet passports used the French spelling. Which I really don't like, since it confuses the hell out of people. I kind of regret bringing all of my documents together under that spelling in the end (for a while, my SS card, learner's permit, and student ID all had different names: sergey, sergei, and serguei). I finally settled on that spelling, I don't know why, really, and it's since become my "professional" name. In all other capacities, I use sergei (rarely, very rarely, I'll say serge to spare my interlocutor that half-second of supressing laughter and discomfort at having to ask me again if my name is, indeed, sir-gay?! (you won't believe how many times I've heard that joke from every single person I've ever met; and with the spread of the word "gay" into the post Soviet sphere I now find Russians making this joke as well, which is even more sad for a whole different set of reasons))

As long as it's related to computers in some way (or any of the subjects of the magazine).

I actually did do a little something about that Fallout box.

Anyhow, my first review is up here. Please click, because the clicks do help.

Otherwise, here's my recent portrait, done by the staff photographer and photoshopped to look like a vintage Sears photo.

That photo is pretty excellent. Your hair is shorter than I expected it to be though.

Also, do you get to keep the laptop? I've always been interested to know if tech blogers keep larger end product like that they review.

Nah, you have to send stuff like that back to the manufacturer.

My hair has gotten a lot longer since the photo was shot. I should get a haircut, though what kind of haircut? I'm thinking a mullet.

Seriously, though, I'm going to be getting a mohawk soon. My hair is just right and I ... well I just want one. It will be down most of the time mind you.

The more I see that photo, the more I think that dressing up that way would be a good idea.

EDIT: You won't catch me making fun of my people often, but I had to post this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cvo3YVOVtY

dhex, if you've ever wanted a video version of Russian dos and don'ts then watch that. Make sure you watch the whole thing through, it only gets more ridiculous as it goes on.

Translations of some choice lyrics:

"Fuck all you bitches coming to my hood,
And that includes Negroes
You're black, but you ain't gangster rappers from America
I'm not a nazi, but I ain't letting you bitches get away with dancing with our bitches"

"I've got a hammer and sickle tattooed on a my arm
We rolled into the hood with gats in our baggy pants and baseball bats ready to take down any fucks getting in our way."

One thing that's always made me wonder about Russian bydlo (white trash nationalists) , especially Russian hools, is why they often use gangster rap as their anthems.
