I have a TF2 server for people interested in playing the game properly. I would post the IP if I had any confidence that there were people here like that.

Folks, I still don't know which Orange Box I should play. With the 360 I get steady performance and people I actually want to play with in TF plus I don't have to deal with steam, but on the PC I have mods and the ability to mod and such. Why didn't they make TF cross-platform, damnit!

Yeah, it'll be nice to play with real Internet people instead of scary random Television Internet people.

I hate that I can't play with the majority of you guys. Brings a tear to my eye Crying or Very sad.

I guess I'll try to convince shaper to play with me on that day, unless he also has the 360 version, and in that case, I'll just sit in a dark corner of my room, crying.

fie on your "proper" pc team fortress experience. we're playing team fortress 2 on the xbox monday night. be there or be one of those angry internet nerds who gets in arguments on message boards about which version of your favorite videogame is superior.

Gah! Fuck you all. My school is still blocking pretty much every port, making online gaming impossible. I mean, I haven't checked in awhile, but I'm pretty sure they still are...and I'm going home on the 18th! And I won't have my desktop then!

I'll never get to play TF2 ;(

I've done my bitching; carry on.

I already sent Nana a message over Live but I'll post here as well.

I'll try to make it but it might be a few afters after it starts. Either way I'll check when I get on and if you're all still on playing I'll start shooting out messages and we'll see what we can see.

Note: I've only played TF2 that one time when it was me and Dess and Shaper and Booji and, gosh, who else was there? I wasn't too hot then and I probably still suck, but I imagine that won't matter if we can get enough people together where we don't have to play with randoms.

I'll see what I can do, but I'm not promising anything. My 360 is not liking my father's wireless network, and I can't run a cable to my room, so... I'll try to get it up again tomorrow I guess.

Man, it ain't no thing dude. Get in on it, find a role, and rock it out. I'm usually a heavy or a soldier, but I can switch if need be.

We are totally doing this, btw. I have nothing going on tonight that I can see so shit yeah rockets are loaded and we are off. I even have some musics lined up on the xbox for this.

I actually prefer that team fortress doesn't really have music. I hadn't thought of that before you wrote the above.

So how come PCs can't connect to Xbox360 online games? Is it just because the mouse/keyboard control system gives you too much of an advantage over console players?

Yeah, we definitely need a lot more talking, and a lot more team play. I find that the lower numbers of the xbox version of this game actually accent the need for teamwork even more.

I am sorry if I come across as an ass sometimes when I am playing this. More than any other XBL game, TF2 frustrates me.

So I finally opened up my SEALED copy of the last express so I could actually play it, and I had a look at the registration card and I thought... I wonder if anyone collects these things?

This could be worth lots of money to some guy on the internet. Maybe I should pool all mine together and sell a bulk lot on ebay. Could end up making a large contribution to my retirement fund!

sunshine wasn't what i expected and it was jsut a tad bit depressing. good movie though.

if i plan to go on trips i pack two pair of jeans, five shirts, and underwear. i keep it simple.

daph i have never beat zork

none of them

i've played pretty much all of them though

oh wait, does return to zork count?

i still need to play grand inquisiter or whatever

daphny left to try and sleep but failed and now she's watching some weird japanese movie and I can't tell what's going on because the TV is too far to read the subtitles. also to consider: david byrne maybe likes blade runner? after all, he says that STOP MAKING SENSE is good advice.

not that i am any different.

also, sunshine was better than i thought it would be.

bladerunner is still a better movie than you, daphny.

Blade Runner is not a great movie, even though I like the atmosphere and Harrison Frod and that chick and the way everything looks. And the universe, all the shit they got from the Phillip K Dick book. But, to quote Dracko, it's like they created this interesting universe and then failed to do anything good with it. Dracko was talking about Warhammer 40,000 when he said that, but it still stands. It's a pretty dumb movie. Especially the bit at the end where they're running about in the spooky-ooky house.

the booj I try to promote stimulating conversation and openness on SB but I don't really have a litmus test to tell me how far I am getting so my only option is to keep on trucking. And well, the only people that object to it are now banned, so *shrug*
