Who here has a profile on one of these sites? In the UK Myspace was incredibly popular for a year or two but now everyone is making the shift to Facebook. I hear in the States it's going the other way. I am on both:

Out of the 28 people who have looked at this thread so far, those were the only two responses. I'm not sure I can declare this thread a success. I can however use this data to conclude that every person who verbally disapproves of one of my posts is actually representative of 14 more readers who remained silent, so that's something.

Nobody's jumping facebook for myspace in the states. Facebook is way more popular. But there are quite a few people dissatisfied with the whole user applications thing. (I have a greasemonkey script installed that hides all custom applications, problem solved.)

I signed up for a facebook and myspace to talk to my brother when he went to live overseas. Facebook is just there, and I use the myspace one to keep in touch with him and a few friends I don't see much anymore. Nothing too exciting.

Sweet, just joined the Facebook Group!

MySpace died earlier this year. Facebook got bought out by the same people who own MySpace (Robert Murdoch's Newscorp or whatever). It will be on it's way out in another year. Sad that they corrupted and raped Facebook so much since it started a few years ago. Was better when it was just college people, but I guess it is nice to see all my friends from High School too.

as with many, i also have a myspace, but it is... shall we say, neglected. but more poorly neglected than my facebook.
