And sadly, it's one of those cases where I don't recall a lot about the game. Here's what I know.

The game was released in the late 90s, the setting is kinda hard to explain. It's like a fantasy mild eastern setting. Like a combination between Aladin and Prince of Persia, but I remember it always being bright outside, so it wasn't dark like the modern PoP games. I'm pretty sure you had a magic carpet, and I remember a big goofy blue character, not sure what he did, but he was just some big puffy blue creature.

There's also a specific puzzle I remember doing. It was a puzzle where you were in a single room, and you had to get from one end to the other. You could only walk on certain tiles to get across, and the tiles you had to walk on were invisible. You needed a special ability to see the tiles, but I just got through it by trial and error.

One final detail, but I'm not sure about this one. I recall the game name being something like this, "___________'s Quest".

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The character also looked like Aladin and the Prince from PoP. Those baggy white jeans, and he had a turban on, I think it was a colorful turban too. I remember him wearing just a blue vest, but I wouldn't put any credence into the vest. The pants and turban I'm sure about though.

As for control, no idea either.

3D you guess?

for now, I'm guessing Arabian Nights:

If that's not it, then I'll be happy to return to searching (it's kind of one of my hobbies).

also that is a disconcerting name/avatar

Well, it is 3D, but not as fully 3D as modern games are. The character models are 3D, and the environments are 3D, but it was the cheesy new 3D, still kinda blocky and whatnot.

Also, the game had very plain, kinda kiddy graphics too. There wasn't anything dark or evil about the look of the game.

Twinsen's Odyssey! Yes! Oh this makes me very happy.

Holy hell, how were you able to figure that out with all of the wrong info I gave out? Regardless, I can't thank you enough captain. Now I just need to obtain this game somehow.

Blue vest and rudimentary 3D, I'm sure. Not many early 3D adventure games that were worth remembering, IMO.

There was a demo of it on a australian pc user cover disc eons ago, with a crappy lo-res screenshot involving a magic carpet. I never played it, but the image and the name of the game got burned into my mind forever like some drunken throwaway line from an ex-girlfriend.

I'm glad I could help
