Hi, new here. Just racking my brain over how to hook up my nintendo and atari to my projector. My projector only has an s-video input.
Any help? |

this is hardly that kind of forum, except inasmuch as we're all pretty cheap and so maybe you've pegged us correctly after all.
anywho. i know i've seen A/V (+s-video)-to-coax adapters before, the same way you might use a VCR as an intermediary between a newer console and an older TV. i don't doubt that they make at least one that works both ways. |

You need an RF demodulator to do that. I don't know of any major company that sells them now, though. Probably just easier to get a cheap VCR or cable tuner that has S-Video out, as Ethos has said, and use that as your intermediary--any VCR that has antenna IN and RCA or S-Video OUT already has a demodulator in the box.
Incidentally, if the Atari isn't a big deal, your Nintendo should have an RCA jack on the side, and S-Video/RCA couplers (or cables, for that matter) are simpler bits of kit and hence easier to come by. |
