| I don't know the answer, but I was amused to hear the director of Gradius V use the English word "option" in an interview about the game, even though the English version of the game called them "multiples." |

Yes I'm necromancing threads while searching for gradius what of it
"Multiple" choices give you "options" so I suppose the translator or whoever picked the wrong word and it stuck?
