Do you want to clear something specific without clearing the whole thing then?

(Otherwise, it's Tools > Options > Privacy, then Clear the Cache option.)

I use about:cache?device=disk to fish something out of my cache in firefox.
Just type the bold text into the address space.

i mean: is there a way to, like, get the content out of a file i have previously viewed on the internets (which is not on the internets anymore)?

If you do what Pijaibros selected, you'll have a long-ass list of all the files currently in your cache. If you know what file you're looking for, you might be able to text-search for it. I'm not sure if the link to it in the description that's generated is to the cached version of the file or whether it's a link. If it's the latter, you might have to do a hard-drive search for it, since it should be in one of your Temp folders somewhere.
