I've been sitting with a laptop on my lap for the past 2 days (because I'm a busy boy right now), and I've started to get a dull ache in my right testicle. Sometimes, it's more of a pulsing throb. I checked for lumps and couldn't find any, but it is still quite worrying. Does anyone else get this? I'm wondering whether I should see a doctor.

I get this when I wear a pair of pants that are a size smaller than what I should be wearing, or if they're just chafing. Generally the pain works it's way through my leg too.
do some stretching? |

Just ignore it and it'll probably go away. (Just overactive cooling, throb is from cooling effort/constriction.)
Of course if the testicle spins inside the scrotum, the dangly bit of vein that feeds it could be constricted- like when you twist a garden hose.

Check how you're sitting, maybe? I normally slouch in the most comfortable position my horribly bent spine can find, but I assume a different posture when I'm trying to balance something on my lap, especially something as heavy as a laptop. Depending on your choice of pants and undergarments, you might be putting your delicates in a slight bit of a tight squeeze. Just an idea.

I guess I'm better now. I still have it a little bit. I think when this is over I'm going to give the ol' laptop a rest for a good while.
The main reason I was concerned is because I've heard laptops can cause, amongst other things, ball cancer and sterility. I guess I'll cross those bridges when I come to them!

ZING!
You should probably go get that checked out though. I actually just got done with medical checkups for ball-related problems but they're not bad enough to get them operated on (a minor cyst and ridiculous pain in the right one that comes and goes every couple of weeks along with some other pains in my abdomen and chest areas... as of right now no doctor's been able to figure out what's going on, and I've also been steadly losing weight since about May  )
