Great. Now I will have my chance to make the first (and by extension, the definitive) www.selectbutton.net "Cacoma Knight in Bizyland" topic.

Beautiful colorscheme!

Also, I really like the force feedback idea. Which was actually, sort of the way I was thinking insert credit was working.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the concept.. pushing whole threads? It'd be nice to have some editing work before hand Wink

Yeah, I thought activation was a good idea until I realized I'd have to wait! AGH!

But I really like this. It evokes the same feeling of the old forum, enough to be a continuation, but is tastefully different. The color scheme is bad ass - its close to perfect. Its just like the old IC but very innovative at the same time. Whoever picked it is very clever.

The only thing I dislike is the manual account activation, but thats only because I have to wait right now. I'll probably see eye to eye with that dission after I've personally been activated.

Oh, and the archive looks good too.

vision did a bangup job on the color scheme.

Sorry about account activation. It's a minor annoyance but after what happened last week I figure it's worth the precautionary measure.

you're activated now, showka, btw.

It's very attractive! Very! I do wonder if the links surrounding each front-page article (read more, discuss, thread at top) will always be so redundant, though.

When I click "view forums" or "read more" I go to a blank white page.

EDIT: SB.net shows up fine now.

Yes; TGQ has allowed us to remain mostly together as a community as well as work together on planning for our future. I am grateful as well.

However, I am now invested in these forums and cannot find motivation to move on to selectbutton. How ironic.

Guardian there's no reason why you shouldn't visit both, like I do. SB (or the old IC) is a fair sight more active than TGQ, so I come to one when the other is dead, and vice versa. They are different crowds really; people who made cameo appearances on the old IC have their stomping grounds here.

Hey, if there's 180 users, but 272 profiles, does that mean there's.... *thinks hard* ....98 people waiting to be verified?

Already?

A quick check of the sb.net memberlist would seem to bely the basis of your hypothesis.

Nah, users don't show up on the user count until they post thanks to a mod I installed Mostly to keep spambots at bay.

Everyone is verified as far as I know!

You know, I was still thinking in terms of ic at the time. Since he was posting on TGQ and ic both. Haven't seen him on sb, no. Although I've been actively trying not to pay much attention there.

Um, yeah, anyway.

Not because of the people! I'm just tired of being in the top five poster list, tired of the responsibilities/politics of moderation, tired of nigh-subconsciously loading up the forum to see what's new.

As it stands, I still check a few times a day -- just try to stay exclusively in general and triple-guess myself before making a post.

That said, the place doesn't feel like it's having growing pains. We've got nearly all of the old favorites around, even a bunch of long time lurkers are moving over; the most loved threads are resurrected, and I haven't heard of any drama yet (however inevitable it shall be).

On that note, off I go.

Shit! How'd I miss this until just now? Anyway, now registered and awaiting clearance...

I'm not planning on completely jumping ship or anything. I'll still be posting here when I feel like I might have something to contribute, just like I did before the IC forums went down in flames (hey it's a pun).
