Altman was a very good director who died. Lindsay Lohan wrote him a half-literate letter.

I can't read poor churippu's posts. I'm too distracted. It's not the "animation" so much as it is the smile and hair, I think.

Holy crap. Robert Altman died? Man. Wow.

Weird.

Anyways, at least I saw A Prairie Home Companion before he died so he saw my profits. (and the fact that it wasn't too good, I mean, I probably would have been swayed to like it more knowing he died). Oh, yeah, The Player is his best film in my opinion.

That's what I was wondering, too. Here's the first result off Google.

Hell let's just post the whole letter here:

Lindsay Lohan wrote:
I would like to send my condolences out to Catherine Altman, Robert Altman's wife, as well as all of his immediate family, close friends, co-workers, and all of his inner circle.

I feel as if I've just had the wind knocked out of me and my heart aches. If not only my heart but the heart of Mr. Altman's wife and family and many fellow actors/artists that admire him for his work and love him for making people laugh whenever and however he could.

Robert Altman made dreams possible for many independent aspiring filmmakers, as well as creating roles for countless actors.

I am lucky enough to of been able to work with Robert Altman amongst the other greats on a film that I can genuinely say created a turning point in my career.

I learned so much from Altman and he was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years.

The point is, he made a difference.
He left us with a legend that all of us have the ability to do.

So every day when you wake up.
Look in the mirror and thank god for every second you have and cherish all moments.
The fighting, the anger, the drama is tedious.

Please just take each moment day by day and consider yourself lucky to breathe and feel at all and smile. Be thankful.

Life comes once, doesn't 'keep coming back' and we all take such advantage of what we have.
When we shouldn't.....

Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourselves' (12st book)

– Everytime there's a triumph in the world a million souls hafta be trampled on. – Altman

Its true. But treasure each triumph as they come.

If I can do anything for those who are in a very hard time right now, as I'm one of them with hearing this news, please take advantage of the fact that I'm just a phone call away.
God Bless, peace and love always.

Thank You,
"BE ADEQUITE"
Lindsay Lohan

I know next to nothing about Lindsay Lohan apart from the fact that she's one of those vapid actress/singers who pop up every now and then. Does she do stuff like this often?

Altman must be laughing in his grave. I feel kinda guilty that I've never seen any of his movies...

Also, what is this "BE ADEQUITE"? Am I missing something here?

She was probably on drugs/alcohol when she wrote it, at least I think that's all there is too it.

She was hot when she had some meat on her.

I've heard she's been gaining back her figure. Is this true?

not for sure really, but this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lindsay_Lohan_-_Vanity_Fair.jpg is a good picture of her.

Yeah, that's why she's going to lose any shred of sincerity in her soul when she finds out the entire internet burned her for trying really hard to write a nice letter, and in the future will instead make sure that her PR writing team just auto-writes letters for anyone famous's death!

Uuh... I think it's pretty obviously sincere!

I mean, she's clearly trying to imitate a style she sees as being classy or something. She's also way over-extending her English abilities. And she obviously didn't bother to run this by anyone.

It just seems too irrational to be anything but sincere!

I mean, by virtue of being a manufactured pop idol, she should easily have the knowledge and tools at her disposal to manufacture the best publicity ever for this. But did she? Nope. Totally sincere! You might think, well, maybe that was all manufactured to make her look sincere as well? Nah. Why? Because most people aren't going to read it that way!

No, you're right, it is sincere. My point is I'm not exactly going to stand up and cheer when a girl like this shows us that she is human, when her entire career (and maybe existence!) is built around being anything but. It'd be like OJ finding a new publisher for that book and donating the profits to some domestic abuse charity; I mean, that's nice and all, but you can still fuck off.

Why is Alison Lohman being referenced here? I don't know her to be A) related, B) slutty, C) befreckled, or D) in possession of a nasty cooter.
