No one hates his dad in Final Fantasy XII! There is no god-killing involved! But there are political conspiracies and INTRIGUE!

You might like this game d00d! It's almost like a western RPG!

It's almost like a worthwhile plot with potentially rewarding character interactions!

This is the first time I've been genuinely interested in a Final Fantasy title, ever.

man i wish i had saved yesterday's gmail chat. toups was in a top-notch carnival barker mode and really sold me on his enthusiasm for the title.

i won't play it, but i would recommend him for a pr job at a games company.

in a semi-related note, i spent some time at another forum that will never be linked to but isn't the f-out guys and i feel i must revise my whole "anime/japan = soul cancer" thing into "everyone who loves anything is doomed to turn into a possessive asshole and that's that." perhaps all of our lives are tremendously empty, but we do not see the precipice.

game over, man. game over.

Doesn't it automatically save it in the chats log? Because it does for me.

Someone once said "Anyone who likes anything deserves to be punished." I think it was the guy who runs that Hell forum.

More karmaesquely it could be said that "Anyone who likes anything [too much] is punished".

No, the original intention of the quote was to be a bitter hardass who hates everybody and thinks they should suffer. No [too much] there. I sometimes think this is what it is like to achieve true mental peace.

Also playing Final Fantasy Twelve last night, it occured to me that Balthier is the complete anti-tidus. He continually talks about himself as the main character (even though that isn't true), he hates his father, he otherwise has unearned confidence, etc.

I don't know why I'm bothering with spoiler tags since I'm sure everyone else here has beaten the game twice already.
