I didn't even notice my own LJ post had been pre-empted.

Ah, well.

Crap, that reminds me. I have to edit out all of the "ic crap" from my Nanobreaker review, as Ryan put it.

Because the box has to edit it, eventually.

But I have to edit it first! Oh, what a world.

Well. There I was thinking you were coming up with elaborate and creative casual connections between disparate things and people. But, no.

How sobering.

I like what I read so far. Toups I have to read your article. I'm inspired now that I know what kind of writing is required and such.

Yes.

Legal Step, if you contribute, you wil have to use commas. I know you religiously avoid them in your inter nets postings but we here at Gamer's Quarter like to think that we have some standards.

One hell of an issue.

This is easily the most thoughtful, intelligent gaming zine I have ever read. I'm impressed.

Keep it up!

I read "Starting from Scratch" by Jeremy Penner, and I thought it was a pretty good article. Not great, but pretty good. It talked about things, but didn't really come to any real conclusion.

One thing I did find pretty interesting about it, though, was the part in which he talks about playing an old game (Blaster Master) that he knows in his head is really good. But the first time he dies, he just wants to move on instead of giving it a chance.

I've felt the same thing when I try out various old games I have laying around. I'd be interested in seeing an exploration of it in a future issue.

I just had to stop by and say how amazed I am after reading the mag. I only read the Sonic Article to finish but i skimmed the others. By far one of the best magazines I've ever had the pleasure of reading. As much as I would love to see this quality on a monthly basis I fully understand and respect that the time invested is directly required for said quality. I will most patiently standby and wait for the other issues. I may even consider joining the forums.

I had to be the dick asking the implied questions but in regards to the mailing list what do we get? Is it just updates about the next issue? Does it include any sort of 3rd party advertising?

Edit: Since someone else mentioned printservices I thought I'd throw out PrintFu
http://www.printfu.org/
It's not really ideal for you the distributer, but for anyone who wants a hardcopy maybe a few for a friend or two it's supposed to be very inexpensive.--

There will never be any third party advertising I promise. It is pretty much just so that you can sign up and get a reminder about the mag. At the most we might throw out some advertising for our own magazine for sale.

Welcome to the forums!

I just realised that I never picked up a copy of issue one and went to download but the link does not appear to be working. Is there anywhere I can obtain a copy? Thanks.
