I'm sure they won't stretch it since they haven't stretched anything else. They might leave the option open to stretch it yourself if you're a complete moron, but it won't be the default. I'm hoping they can go back in and show more of the playing field on screen for widescreen. This would be a problem for the loading room and some of the single-screen bosses, but for the rest of the game it would be pretty nice. Oh, who am I kidding. It'll just be boardered by some crazy gothic texture.

Well, technically SFII is ever so slightly stretched, with extra artwork (apparently) on the sides to accommodate a wider viewpoint when you're at the extreme ends of a stage.
Here's the comparison of my old-school TV running Street Fighter Collection 2 versus Waffen's HDTV running SF2 on XBLA:

Yeah, Waffen either stretched that himself or doesn't actually have his Xbox set to display a widescreen image. I've played it on the HDTVs at work and on Shaper's TV and by default it throws a blue background up behind it.

Actually, I just looked at the screens again and it looks like he does have a larger playing field than a standard widescreen TV. Wierd! I'll have to look through the options next time I play it on an HDTV.

He said there was a fit-to-TV option, I think. It doesn't look bad, in any case; I really like how vast it looks in widescreen. |

The PC version of SSF2:T (I think that exact version) had a larger vertical view area than the arcade did. They opted to just draw more of the view rather than add a black bar. It was nice. _________________ Gamertag - FalcomAdol -- Don't Click Here 触手
