I absolutely want to get this; I don't believe it's out in North America yet, though, is it?

Rero if I buy it will you play co-op with me?

Also Lestrade, yes, the Evil Dead Quake map is pure awesome. Better than any of the real Evil Dead games. Well, I didn't play the latest, but I'll assume it sucks. The second was sort of fun! But not as good as the Quake map.

Cycle I will co-op the game with you. Not now though, the TV's being used by other people all night and tomorrow is out too. But boy, when we do find the time, wow!

EDIT: I'm liking this the more I play it and all it took was a tank with miniguns on it. Like I thought, all the missions basically repeat though they do have very minor variations on each (instead of running through tunnels to get to the base you have to run through trenches to get to the supplies then defend them. That's about all the variation you're getting for the next four misisons) oh and the two bosses I've killed now are the same enemy with different attacks. The tank is fun though.

Yeah, sadly there doesn't seem to be any way to edit keys in Duke 3D.

Also: Quake Live

Yes you can, don't be dumb Dracko. I'm going to buy Duke 3D because I realised I never actually paid for it in my entire life, so here's my chance to support GOG while giving 3D Realms 25c at the same time.

Manhattan Project was actually a pretty fun game, at least it was back when I played it eight or so years ago. I didn't end up finisihing it, but the time I spent with it was good. It's better than the first Duke platformers, that's for sure!

The other games are BLAKE STONE which is pretty much sci-fi Wolfenstein with some adventure elements thrown in. They're ok, but haven't aged as gracefully as other FPS games.

You have to use the setup.exe, in DOS (Box). Or this instead.

I am declaring that I will play Duke Nukem 3D again. Right now.

After the footage? It would be nice if it was released. Even if it just had the football stadium fight because that shit looked off the hook.

Did you read the design documentish thing? It sounded like it would be a lot of fun, if a little too juvenile. i mean, so was the first game, but i'm MATURE now

I probably would have liked to play this. I was hoping they'd shoehorn in sending Duke to Mars ala Total Recall and maybe the entire plot and setting of Commando, the kinds of things that I would have expected from a Duke Nukem sequel.

I still remember the (not quite that good) April Fool's joke about Duke Nukem Forever in Australian PCPowerPlay magazine sometime back in the year 2000 I think it was. Yes, even in my petrol fume addled haze.

Note that the leaked plot has the events going into motion and much ofDuke's action taking place on April 1st.

The new DooM II episode included with the XBLA version is really rather brill'. The styles of the two designers are a bit at odds with each other (one makes traditional corridor levels while the other concentrates on wide open spaces, usually with very impressive architecture), but the levels themselves are very well designed (excellent flow and enemy placement) and provide a decent challenge. It's more knee deep than hell on earth, and it doesn't throw many surprises at the player (no subverting expectations here), but they're extremely professionally designed traditional levels and that's more than good enough for me.

I really like the levels that the corridor guy made. His levels tend to spawn enemies in areas you've already been, keeping you on your toes the entire the level. The spawned groups are never cheap, however, and sometimes he even opens up the areas a bit to make room for the bigger battles. Really, really good design.

I extracted it and have been playing it on my PC, I would post a link here but I'm not sure how people feel about that sort of thing here.

Oh wait, I'm the only person here lol.

I tried the demo. It's kind of ridiculous that the demo gives you only 2 really small levels.
