I just finished HL2 Episode 1.

How appropriate that a game so totally on rails would end on a train.

I should have catalogued the invisible walls, workarounds, etc. as I went along.
All that lugging of furniture, barricade construction and hoarding of explody-things turned out to be mostly pointless. Sad

Here are a few bits:

Stand right there Adoring Fan!

Barrricade

Come get me! (well, get Alyx. I used her to kill half or more of enemies.)

Took a lot of grav-shooting, and also pointless:

Jamming door to keep it open with power off doesn't work. I even got some furniture through a hole in the ceiling- which I couldn't climb through because of an invisible wall.

I am ready!

Like a pyromaniac bag-lady.

This is just a small part of my Mobile Barricade System.

Gathering loot for end of level transfer.

Jenga! Jenga Ja-ja-ja Jenga!

Ont top of Jenga pile in final area, looking back across:

I hate invisible walls

Yes I hate them Sam I Am

The end boss fight wasn't too bad.

Starting tonight with Episode 2, I'll be doing a sort of Let's Play with the emphasis on playing wrong.

I wish there was a Terminator Online:

The worst part of Invisible Walls is when you think you found the way out but a wall is slammed in your face. This happened to me a few times playing thorugh the original Half-Life 2 Sad Clearly 242346834 hours of focus testing was not enough!
