Hi all. As I mentioned elsewhere, last night was the official book launch of the beautiful fan-art book Street Fighter Tribute. The event was a hoot; artists were on-hand to sign books (and other things—I had a bunch of folks sign my Saturn copy of Street Fighter Collection), and there was a Street Fighter Anniversary tournament!
And yeah, I entered the tournament, and yeah, I didn't get too far. :-(
But enough talk! Photo time!
EDIT: More, better photos courtesy of Charlene Chua (contributor to the book) and Wayne Santos (game writer).

Uhh...
A heated match!

Sticks!
KO!
Every time Guile got knocked out, a throng of people mimicked his death cries: "OooOOOah! OooOOOah! OooOOOah!"
A Capcom vs. SNK 2 match was projected onto a window. Here's what it looked like from the outside.
Signs of things to come! After the tourney we went across the street to watch local band Mackenzie King (go Canada!) play awesome rock versions of classic Street Fighter tunes (not to mention a bizarre metal medley of Star Trek music!?).

The best part of the evening! Right: a noble Quebec brew called St. Ambroise. Left: the drink of the evening—a Tiger Uppercut!
This pretty much sums up the rest of the night!
