So, I had the bright idea to hack a NES emulator for the Wii to let me play Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! with the Gamecube bongos. Why settle for the copycat boss fights in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat when you can have the real thing? I call it Mike Tyson's Jungle Beat, and I'll let the embarrassing YouTube video speak for itself.

I'm actually pretty impressed with how well the bongos work -- I'm much more effective with the bongos than I ever was with the Power Glove, for example. I'd kill to see a video of someone knocking out Mike Tyson with bongos.

That is so awesome. Even a baby can do it!

Also, I think this belongs in Force Feedback on SB. Everyone must know of this grand accomplishment!

Track and Field is a really good idea, though. I've also been considering giving Super Mario Bros a try (using a similar momentum-based system as DK Jungle Beat) but probably I will tire of this idea before I get to it. (You would clap to shoot fireballs, which would be awesome.)

There ain't no DPad on the bongos. There's the two bongos, a mic, and a start button. That's all.

That would be insane! Your arms would be so tired. It'd be less work to go on an actual Balloon Fight for real.

My GOD you still have a U-Force? I wish I still knew where mine was.

That was an awesome video. I couldn't figure out why you were looking at the screen so much (I thought you were just vain or something), so I'm glad you explained it was a web cam.

Awesome job with that too. I wish I could play it now (no bongos).

YES SOMEONE NOTICED THE U-FORCE

The goddamn thing actually never worked! I got it from a thrift store and I think one of the pins is busted or something because IIRC it acts as if you are constantly holding down right on the D-pad.

Daph your Balloon Fight idea is also rad

Aw man, that's sweet. I wish my wii supported homebrew Sad you totally need to spread the word of this around some more. Nintendo should totally make an official version; after hiring you, of course.
